Ok, these straws are great. I bought them because we have a vast assortment of plastic straws that have come with various water containers, but NONE OF THEM INTERCHANGE with the other cups. They're all just SLIGHTLY off and won't fit through the openings of any other thermos. It makes me insane having to dig through the drawer trying to find which straw goes to which cup. I also don't like how the plastic straws get all "bitten up" looking even if you don't bite on the straw because the ends fade and discolor after awhile. These have been easy to use, easy to clean, and they're obviously more durable than plastic. The ONLY thing you should think about, which I obviously didn't, is that if you're using one of those insulated cups/jugs that is metal inside, holy crap can it get annoying listening to the straw jiggle around and clink on the bottom/sides, *especially* if you're driving. But hey, if that isn't a big deal to you, or you enjoy the musicality of every day items, then it's perfect. For the rest of us, it's not any flaw of the product, so no loss of stars, just one of those things to consider when you're planning what cup you're going to use this with. And FYI, it's too short for your 30-40 oz insulated cup. I mean, logically we all know this, but I still try and force it to work sometimes and it's comical trying to grab the top of the straw and pull it back up every time you want to drink. This is more of a perfect "regular" size cup straw. At least one of these stars is for that perfect half bend that this straw is in because we all know bendy straws > straight straws every day of the week.

Love these narrow straws and I have a straw cleaner that works well with these. This is the second time I bought them.

I LOVE these. One plastic straw can kill a seal!! Do you NEED any other reason to use a reusable metal one? Call me a hippie, but I carry one with me in my pocketbook for use at restaurants and then just rinse it in the bathroom sink when I'm done (or just drink water). The brush these straws come with is very effective and easy to use so they stay clean. They look cool, too! If you host a lot of parties, these are AWESOME for cocktails or cookouts. If you drink protein shakes in the am, they're good, too! Plastic straws are so wasteful! They can't be reused OR recycled so they're just trash! And they're needless, really. I mean, lifting a cup to your mouth isn't THAT disgusting...especially when we all go to diners and drink coffee straight from the mugs anyway (newsflash--it goes through the intensely hot, sanitizing dishwashers...say no to plastic straws!) I also would recommend these to people who are caring for people who find it difficult to drink due to advanced age or a health condition and use straws regularly. I use my straws every single day with my coffee (to avoid staining my teeth), and yes, I use a porcelain, reusable, lidded coffee mug! hahahaha! 5 out of 5 stars, and I've bought 3 packs now!

I purchased these in 2012 and they have held up beautifully. I am ordering more because I lost one in a move. My kids and I love to use them.

They are a bit short but work well. Also they are not good for hot drinks, there all metal.

The straws are sturdy. They are designed perfectly with the bent upper part. They look great and are a luxury. I love them and I especially like the cleaning brush that comes with the straws.

These are a smaller diameter than the 8 pack of the large straws but they work really well for regular drinks. I use them all the time at home. Very durable and clean easily...no metal taste and not too cold when drinking cold liquids. I wasn't sure how I'd like the bend and I love it...so convenient! No more plastic...these are the best!

I was disappointed that the straws were shown in gold and arrived in a grey steel color
