Newtons Soft & Fruit Chewy Fig Cookies, 2 Oz(Pack of 12)

Love the big box of Fig Newtons. Fresh every time!I occasionally pick up a single pack when I would be looking for something to nosh on when at a store. They give me that little bit of sweet without feeling like I ate a candy bar. Good mouth feel, rather filling. Hits the spot. But i haven't been going into stores but rarely this year, and I didn't even think to pick up a larger pack until I saw it while looking for other stuff in Prime Pantry. Price looked good, and I figured I would give it a whirl. Glad I did. I like having the individual packs on hand for whenever I want some Fig Newtons. I didn't want the packs where it is loose cookies. I would likely not get to them, or I would eat more than I wanted to use them up. The individual packs (seems to be 2 long cookies which is equivalent of 4 smaller loose cookies) are so much better for me.. can grab them as I want them and I know each package is fresh.

I really like these. I haven't cared for the older styles of packaging, even the re-sealable ones, because I just don't eat them quick enough. I have loved Fig Newtons for years but never remember to buy them. Now I just buy one of these items and I am ready for a couple of weeks. I know not to eat too many at a time but once in a while they are great!And the price and the convenience are terrific! Will buy again and actually, I have some more coming in this week. My third order since i discovered them in the Amazon Pantry

I bought these for a good damn price. It was so worth it. It lasted me a couple of weeks. It tasted good, it was almost addicting. Chewy, sweet, like a cookie but its a fig bar. Low fat, low sugar. At least its enough to get over your hunger crave. After one of the bars which are small, but you get two, you feel satisfied and full. If you are still hungry, eat a lunch or dinner that will get you full but healthy. Dont over eat so when you need a snack, it will only hit the spot, not to aim to be full like a full fledge meal. Its got good taste just like how i remember them.

I have no idea what Nabisco has done. I've loved these cookies ecer since childhood, but when I ate one of them today, I had a stunning, body-wide allergic reaction of itching. Was very grateful for my supply of Benadryl, although after two capsules and several hours, I still itch! Cannot imagine what Nabisco has done because I am definitely not allergic to figs. Can only guess that it might be due to preservatives.

The outside crust part is much better to me. Like a light pie crust rather than a mushy outside.They're always fresh.Handy to add to my bag for a snack (great if you're fasting for lab work and then need something fast afterward!)AND they're usually super inexpensive if you get the 12 pack (which is really like getting FOUR in each packet as they're BIG NEWTONS) when on sale.BOTTOMLINE: I stock up on these!

No matter how you look at it Fig Newtons are the best. My problem is with shipping. The figs arrived in an envelope instead of a box. In case anyone does not know, Fig Newton's are soft and chewy. By putting them in an envelope instead of a box resulted in crumbled Fig Newtons. I cannot understand what made the person packaging these to think that an envelope would suffice. Very disappointed in Amazon shipping.
