This small accessory will take your suit game to the next level
First I want to say that, as another reviewer mentioned, the tie clip does have a tendency to droop at the tip. However, I found that pushing it all the way in and keeping it in an impact-free zone (near the 3rd button from the top) helps substantially. I wore this at a friend's wedding and I think it added to the compliments I received about looking sharp and on point. What I really like about it compared to other products is how slim it is, which fits in with current suit trends and styles, when worn on a medium width tie. The brushed silver really adds to it looking sleek. Finally, the box that the product comes with is unsuitable as a travel case since the lid is likely to pop off. My recommendation is to simply clip it on to your suit directly, or store it with your ties, so that it doesn't get misplaced. Look sharper than the rest!

A nice accessory at a reasonable price.
There are two men's accessories that are absurdly expensive for no reason: 1) Cufflinks 2) Tie bars While tie bars aren't quite as bad as cufflinks, they can get up there. For a clipable piece of metal, it's absurd to pay $65 (let alone $265 for cufflinks). This tie bar is exactly what I wanted -- it has a nice brushed metal look so it's not too shiny as to steal your attention, and it has a good strong clip that doesn't "migrate" throughout the course of the day. I also like that the back is pivoting clip vs a more fixed style that only works when you're wearing a very thick tie and shirt. The adjustable nature of the clip makes this clip amenable to a wide number of shirt/tie permutations. All in all, recommended.

Classy and functional.
I tend to wear slim but not skinny ties - and this tie bar was pretty much perfect for my needs. For example - at the correct position on the widest of my ties (6cm), the bar (at 5.6cm) doesn't go all the way across the tie, but that's about as long as I'd want it. Any longer and the bar would be too long for me. But as I say, this one is pretty much perfect. If I was being picky, I'd want the bar to be closer to 5cm, but I can live with 5.6. Holds well, especially when gripping the tie, its narrow half, and my shirt - no problems with slippage or anything like that. The brushed silver looks great, too.

This is a great tie clip
This is a great tie clip: simple, elegant and high-quality. I've received a few compliments on it. It pairs well with any tie, whether its solid, striped, pin-dotted or anything else. If you want to add that finishing touch to a nice suit and tie, this clip is the way to go. If it's good enough for Don Draper, it's good enough for the rest of us.

Really Nice Tie Bar
This tie bar is very nice. It appears to be made in good quality. I was looking for a nice, cheap tie bar because I needed something to hold my ties down and a tie bar was in fashion. I chose this tie bar in particular because of it's look. I paid a little extra for this one because the cheaper ones I found appeared to be of a lesser quality. I am glad I purchased this one. It goes with everything and looks great with a suit.

Classy little tie clip!
I actually really ended up liking this thing! i didn't expect it to last nearly as long as it has! for how cheap it was i figured it would break eventually and i would just move on. but NOPE, it's stuck around now for almost 8 years and i still wear it from time to time when i am forced to dress up in a monkey suit. It has never let me down and still looks like new, keepin that tie lookin sharp and straight

Grips shirt/tie poorly and easily gets out of place.
It looks nice, but the clip part doesn't hold my tie to my shirt well. It mainly grips deep at the base, so there's a tendency for the tie to bunch, or the clip to become slanted. This item is just ok. It's cheap, so I can't complain too much.

UPDATE AGAIN: Good.
Would give 4.25 stars if possibe. Quality is good. Only issue is the clip and the grip is too loose. Often goes limp and the outer edge sags on the tie... Update: a year later it is still a good tie clip actually ordered another one for backup. Update 2: almost two years later both clips have held up and still look great. 5 stars.
