The bomb!
I’ve tried 2 other brands of felt pads with no great relief for my Morton’s Neuroma. Saw these and thought I’d try them and they are the bomb! The most relief I’ve had so far! I don’t think they will “cure” me however they are working well until I get to a podiatrist. The quality is excellent and easy to apply and reapply with a feeling of more support than felt. Not uncomfortable at all. Highly recommend.

Works for Sore Metatarsal (saved my running!)
As a mid-distance runner, it was difficult for me to accept that something was wrong with my foot — specifically my metatarsal area. I tried running through the pain, but of course that didn’t help. Some research on Amazon led me to these pads, and I’m glad I read the reviews. Specifically, I appreciated someone’s advice about not sticking the pad directly in my shoe and instead taping it to my foot. I first tried using a pad on both feet. You know, for symmetry. But since only one foot was in pain, I found that the other foot absolutely didn’t want or need the pad. Instead, I taped the pad (as directed by the illustration on the back of the package) to the bottom of my sore foot, put on my socks and running shoes, and WOW!! What a difference! My toe usually starts out stinging on a run, but the metatarsal pad alleviated much of the pain and allowed me to keep pushing. I’ve been using the pad for over a week now — about 40 miles — and it’s still working great. I like the ability to tape the pad to my foot and use it with whatever shoe I need. It also seems as if I get more value from the pads by not sticking them directly into my shoes. I’m quite happy with this purchase. It’s made a huge difference in the quality of my running.

How to place / locate Metatarsal Pad
I use both Pedag T-Form and Pedag Drop (1) functions with footwear that has removable insole (2) can be installed / positioned above or below the footwear insole, dependent on user preference (3) I use a self-tailored fastener (cut, trimmed, and rolled, adhesive side out) piece of duct-tape, under the Pad, to temporarily position and secure the Pad. ( 3a) Tip / Top of Metatarsal Pad should extend marginally above the geometric plane at the base of the big-toe metatarsal capsule, extending horizontally across the ball of foot. Shouldn't be behind, and not directly under the metatarsal capsule (4) Once satisfied with the location of the Pad, I outline the position with magic marker, then I remove the tailored duct-tape fastener, and then I apply duct-tape over the Pedag metatarsal pad, to ensure it remains in desired position (5) effective aid to relieve pain associated with metatarsalgia (5) I developed metatarsalgia (second toe ) and upon installing the pad, experienced immediate relief, and resumed hiking and walking the dogs. (6) But, the Pad isn't a panacea - metatarsalgia can require reduced stress on foot, i.e., reduced activity ( I terminated jogging for 3 months ) - (7) the use of a metatarsal pad and insole with proper arch support, worn a majority of the day. (7) I placed in all my footwear (8) I installed it in a pair of old jogging shoes that i washed and cleaned, to be worn exclusively in the house ( I don't wear footwear in the house, but for this one exception ) (9) I purchased Pedag insoles - with built in metatarsal pads - for other footwear, to obviate the need to constantly remove insoles with metatarsal pads from one pair of footwear and insert in a different pair. I like the Viva Sport as it fits in both jogging footwear and casual footwear. I also use the Viva Outdoor in my hiking Boots. (10) Pedag T-Form was more comfortable for my feet than the Pedag Drop, ( but my feet adjusted and I use both pads effectively ) Seeking professional medical care is recommended, as the first response to any medical issue; in context to this review - a licensed , Podiatrist, and / or a Primary Care Physician.

Mixed Success: Adhesive Issues
I've purchased this item twice with mixed success. The first set of pads adhered relatively well to the insoles; however, the second set would not stick at all. I'm not sure if I just received a bag lot or if the adhesive has actually changed.

These are the best inserts for neuromas!
Pedag makes the best metatarsal inserts bar none. Period. I have a Morton's Neuroma that will likely need surgery soon. These inserts relive that forefoot pain associated with the neuroma(s) allowing me to walk/run and exercise where without them pain often prevent such activity. I have used almost every type/brand of metatarsal support for this purpose. -The felt styles work well but can cause socks to shift/bunch causing discomfort. they also cannot be cleaned. -The silicone ones are good for flip flops or clogs but they tend to lose their "stickiness" and come loose and they simply are not compatible with socks making them almost worthless for sports shoes. They also will not work on any insole that is fabric covered. These Pedag inserts will work in any shoe. I use them in my athletic shoes and my dress flats. The adhesive is amazing-I have yet to have one come loose. (You do have to take care in placing the inserts as they are not removable once they are applied). The leather works really well with socks! They just glide over the insert like it does not even exist. In my sandals, I find that they clean fairly well. The leather is smooth and does not irritate my skin if I am not wearing socks. Yes, the price is higher, but these will last longer, stick longer, stay cleaner and work better than most of their competition. These receive my highest recommendation.

Nice metatarsal support pads.
I really like these little pads, they are thick enough and provide comfortable weight redistribution right where I need. They glue on well and stay put for a long time. I can wipe them off with a wet cloth if they become soiled. They are effective and work exactly as designed.

I had NHS insoles for years that corrected my fallen arches. They don't however fit in most of my shoes and we could forget sandals and heels. This is a very option. It was a little difficult to put in so I grabbed insoles and put them on those, and then put the insoles in. Obviously this does not work for tighter fitted shoes but it's okay in mine. I am very pleased. It was quite uncomfortable the first few days but now that my feet have adjusted that discomfort is gone as well as the discomfort fallen arches create.

I have Morton's neuroma and really wanted to be able to continue running but was in too much pain to do so. I only need it for my right foot but the two pads have the same shape so now I have an extra for a second pair of running shoes so I don't mind.

These work well and comfortable. Ii had them before and made a mistake of replacing them with some- slightly cheaper-transparent silicone gel pads which didn't do the trick for me. I went back to these and I would buy them again in the future.

First and foremost, you need to put these in the right place - not under the ball of your foot but just behind, under the transverse arch. I have one of these in my running shoes that is still there after 700km and hasn't lost any of its shape, showing the quality of the foam, leather and adhesive. These are second to none.
