Stainless Steel Filter for AeroPress, 3 Reusable Metal Discs

I just got my AeroPress Go a week ago and while the paper filters worked fine I didn’t want to be dependent on them. Who the heck wants to be on a camping trip and run out of filters and then no coffee for breakfast? I was about to order the AeroPress stainless steel filter and then saw this 3 pack Slimm Filters on Amazon for less $. Now that I have tried these metal filters I give them top rating - they fit my AeroPress perfectly, and the coffee tastes great! I highly recommend!

These filters are extremely easy to use, very effective with no leakage, and fit the AeroPress perfectly. To get the grinds off, I twist the filter a little as I’m removing it, and then it’s a simple matter of rinsing it off. I love the fact that we’re not using so much paper, and it’s handy having 3 different filter styles. Highly recommend!

These are great, I do not miss paper filters at all having started using these. I stack one Fine screen on top of the mesh filter in the Aeropress cap. This increases pressure, reduces drip-through, and helps with sediment. *I received two Fine screens and one mesh filter, instead of a Fine, Ultrafine, and mesh, but honestly the mesh is the key and I don't mind.* These are nice screens, good quality metal and the edges aren't deadly sharp. Very thin and easy to clean. Mesh filter is very taught. Fits perfectly in the Aeropress, works great inverted and works pretty decently with the normal method, though it will drain through a bit more than a paper filter. You will end up with sediment using these with an Aeropress, but it is astoundingly negligible compared to even a metal pourover filter. MUCH less sediment than a french press. In milk drinks or iced coffee, the sediment won't even be noticeable. In a warm americano, sediment will be there at the bottom but it's impressively little. If you're looking for some reusable Aeropress filters, these are the ones. Use a screen and a mesh together and you're golden.

I am making this comment because I saw some distressing comments by other users who clearly are not thinking through when purchasing this product: 1. Cleaning - yes you have to fish it out before you throw away the grounds. That isn't a feature and shouldn't be treated as one. If you want the convenience of just pucking out the grounds, you clearly haven't thought this through. 2. Cleaning pt 2 - yes you have to clean it with water and soap. Is it environmentally cleaner? I'm no environmentalist but paper also uses water during its process. Is that more water per paper filter than this metal filter? I don't know but it's ignorant to say that pouring much less than a quart of water to clean a metal filter is definitely "cleaner" than purchasing a pack of paper filters every couple of months. Also, I might add, the pack contributes to carbon emissions for shipping and promotes throw-away culture. Did the grounds stick on the filter? Do you think that draining a couple of grams of organic sediment down the drain is equivalent to cutting down forests for your perfect cup of coffee? or the chemical treatment in the paper mills vs the sewage treatment plant that cleans the water regardless of what's in it? Suck it up and take the literal 10 seconds to clean a filter. 3. Flavor/sediments - yes. It has sediments because it allows less filtration. What did you expect?? Don't rate this product because you didn't have the 2 seconds to recognize that this is a feature rather than a bug. I like to use both paper and metal because it gives me flexibility. French press? Metal fine filter. Drip? Double paper. Espresso-lite? Metal super fine filter. You ever tried thinking outside your narrow scope of the world and exploring its endless possibilities? These metal filters should help you escape your own ignorant dungeon. 4. Methodology - yes if you use the standard Aeropress method, then the water will definitely run through. Try using the inverted method if you're capable. Otherwise, stick with paper. If that doesn't work try different grind sizes (if too much is going through, you need a smaller grind size, too little water means you need a larger grind size since the compactness reduces water flow). Finally, my actual review: My roommate accidentally tossed out my last metal filter so I had to purchase more. This product comes with not only three filters but three different ones. Honestly, I should have bought these first and saved the money. This product is great and I don't see any problems with it. I use these at least once or twice a week for a couple of months now. I plan to use these in the next couple of years-decades. The packaging is quite lovely but it doesn't tell you how each filter defines the brew's taste. There are legitimate concerns that these filters may break down in the future but I haven't encountered these yet. TLDR: buy these and ignore those who also believe that paper straws will save the earth. Review the product, not the idea of it

I like these filters. The work great in my stainless steel aeropress. They are quite thin but it worked better than the paper filters which would make it very hard to press the coffee. These filters made it much easier to press.

I picked these up for my AeroPress, and they work fantastic. The stainless steel filters feel sturdy and well-made, and they fit perfectly without any fuss. It’s a nice upgrade from paper filters, especially if you’re trying to cut down on waste or just want a slightly fuller-bodied cup. One thing to keep in mind is that grind size really matters. You’ll want to dial it in to whatever works best for your taste and brewing style. Once you get that sorted, the results are great. I’ve even doubled up on two of the filters at the same time for extra filtration, and that gives me a cleaner cup while still keeping more of those flavorful oils. Overall, these have been a great addition to my coffee routine. If you use an AeroPress and like experimenting with your brew, these filters give you a lot of flexibility and solid performance.

10 years after a coworker raved to me about their Aeropress, I finally bought one for travel. Along with serving powdered particulate eggs of dubious origin, The Fair Residence Gardenfield Homeyard Courtwood Suites tend to serve unremarkable hot brown water with an inadequate amount of caffeine. (And that's in the lobby, not the "gourmet" coffeemaker cartridges/packets in the rooms.) Having bought an Aeropress, I ended up liking it so much that I use it every day now instead of my French press that I've used for 20+ years. So there's the context. I bought these metal screen filters at the same time I bought the Aeropress because they seemed like a no-brainer for long term economics with the bonus of less wastefulness. Candidly, here's my experience: The Aeropress itself spoils you because it's so ridiculously well designed that even the cleanup takes less than 15 seconds with the included paper filter discs. With the paper filters, you just eject the filter and compressed grounds into the trash, then quickly rinse and wipe off the stopper. Done. I used these metal filters for a while and they function very well. But... (You knew it was coming) It's that extra bit of inconvenience to have to clean the filter that negates their benefit to me. You could argue that I'm being petty or perhaps even lazy and that it's not really a big deal, especially in comparison to the chore of cleaning a conventional press. Still, using the Aeropress at least twice a day, I notice the difference and it's *just* inconvenient enough that I don't see the reason to bother. Considering that the paper filters are so inexpensive and that they're biodegradable, these metal filters just aren't worth the inconvenience to me. Okay, so from a different angle, maybe you're just looking to treat the Earth well and produce less waste. I'm definitely not an eco warrior fanatic, but I believe in making responsible choices that affect future generations, and even the little decisions add up. When you really think about it, the metal almost certainly takes much more energy to manufacture than all the thin paper discs you'll use over the lifetime of the Aeropress, and the stainless steel won't easily biodegrade. It's just my opinion, but I don't see the point in using the metal ones. If you like them, rock on. They do work well.

Exactly what I needed. I use the aero press to filter oil infused herbs, and these steel filters make it faster than the paper filters.

These awesome reusable filters take my Aeropress to the next level with convenience and portability, and most importantly, they eliminate the need entirely for purchasing single-use filters.

The mesh filter is thick I can't close my aeropress properly.
