Intel Core i5-4460 3.40GHz Processor

This processor is quite impressive. For a processor with a locked clock it still delivers good performance. It may be quite outdated but it could still handle most of new games with ease. The CPU temperatures are also quite stable and good. It could go upto 3.4 ghz with turbo boost.Most recently I played Battlefield-1 with this processor, combined with a gtx-960 and 8 gigs of ram. I was quite surprised the game ran with ultra graphics at 60fps.

Can't judge it's potential coz I'm using 9 years old Hard disk without formatting (Windows 8) from my older core 2 Duo rig. With Gigabyte G1 H81, 4GB Fury and GT620 it works well but can't see surprising speed difference compared with core 2 Duo. Tested for 5 hours doing basic surfing and gaming. Chrome Browser opens faster, booting speed best time was 15 seconds. Didn't see any gaming improvements. It's performance is almost identical to core 2 Duo when I tried Crysis 2 and Counter strike CZ. So I think I will put another 4 GB Fury ram and New hard disc to check it's best performance. My games required better gfx card than better processor. It's not a bad choice if you can go for cheaper core i3 4160 and invest on better graphics card instead.This processor is very silent and even after playing crysis and cz for hours, it's temperature remained below 50℃ even though the game was stuttering. I think my VS550 is not supplying enough power to run the show.Conclusion:- you can go for this or for tight budget get i3 but please buy better graphics card

I previously used pentium g3220 but i recently buy i5 4460 and my pc working like butter so powerful all games running smoothly with rx550 gpu

Excellent product ..I was using phenom II X4 earlier ...Also for the last 10 years I was using different AMD processors ...This is the first time I am using Intel ..Price is a bit high ..but I love the silence ..There is absolutely no sound either you are playing far cry 4 or just surfing the net...The temperature level is also very low w.r.t AMD processors as well the power consumption...

Awesome processor working like a beast. If u are a gamer this will fit you.For budgeted gaming grid with longer life span i prefer this rather than AMD processor. Multitasking is at the core compare to earlier intel versions.

online king..i am very pleased about my decision...the delivery was very fast and secure than i expct..i paired this with asus micro atx b85m g and corsair vengeance 8gb.and installed easily myself..and its been performing superbly well with its powers(haven't overclocked but still)...its I am experiencing a fantastic gaming experience though i dont have bought any graphics card..

So far it's perfectly fine even (after a couple months of using)My PC configuration:>Intel i5-4460>MSI Z97 gaming 5>Corsiar DDR 3 RAM 8 GB x 2>Frontech JIL 600 watts>Circle Cabinet>Western Digital 1TB>worth to buy!>Delivery takes a little longer time than expected.
