Great starter CO2 kit, but I eventually upgraded
I'd rate this 5/5 for what it is. I donโt use it anymore because I upgraded to a full CO2 tank setup (which is way less maintenance long-term), but this kit was such a good introduction into CO2 for me. What I really liked is that it comes with basically everything you need to get started, which made the whole process way less intimidating. When youโre new to CO2, it can feel really confusing (like figuring out bubble rates, diffusion, etc.), and this kit helped me actually understand how everything works. The instructions were clear enough, and as long as you set it up correctly, it does work well. It comes with tubing and a diffuser (no CO2 indicator, but that wasnโt a big deal for me). The quality of the materials is actually pretty solid too (no leaks if done properly!) I still use some of the Criscea parts in my current setup like the bubble counter, tubing, inline checker, and diffuser, and theyโve all held up for almost 6 months now with no issues. So even after upgrading, parts of this kit are still useful, which I appreciate. The main downside (and the reason I switched) is just the maintenance that comes with DIY CO2 systems. Itโs not bad, but it does require more attention compared to a standard CO2 tank. Once I got more into aquascaping, I just wanted something more consistent and lower effort. Overall, Iโd definitely recommend this if you have a smaller tank, are on a budget, or just want to learn CO2 before committing to a full system. Itโs also a really good learning tool (honestly could even be fun for a kid or beginner who wants to understand how planted tanks work). Great cheap starter kit that actually helped me level up my setup.

Thumbs up from me
So cool. Works as advertised. Plants thrive with co2 and correct nutrients

Read first what else to buy
I love the size of this tank. Itโs a very nice size to work with. If you are making your own CO2, and have small to medium tanks, I recommend this size. It says that this size of tank will run for eight hours a day for a month which I think is a really good bang for the buck. I bought the bigger size (4L) and it was way too bulky and when I made the batch of CO2, it exploded everywhere, even though I tilted the canister. It was a huge mess and then on top of that when I went to attach the splitter, the splitter does not work, so I donโt recommend running a splitter on these machines. Unless of course I did something wrong even though itโs pretty black-and-white. A couple of helpful hints. Directions suck and if you YouTube the company and the videos they are decent but they go 100 miles a minute so youโre gonna have to play the videos back in slow motion (you tube settings). Also contact the company via email, they donโt contact them via whatโs app even though they advertise it on their instructions. Realize the company is in China so expect a 12 hour delay when emailing them. In other words, youโre not gonna get a hold of them instantly youโd probably be better off posting a question on here. Secondly, you need to connect all the top parts together first. I donโt know the technical names for them, but all the tubing, check valve, and the diffuser and the bubble counter needs to all be put together before you make the CO2. I made the mistake of not having the stuff ready after my first batch of CO2, and because I did not attach the bubble counter in a timely matter (because I was figuring out the installation) , much air leaked out in my canister and only pressurized at 20%. At least at the bare minimum attach the bubble counter on the top of the canister before you screw the top on otherwise there is a hole where the bubble counter plugs into (to block) and all the air will leak!!!!! They donโt say this really in the directions because if you follow the directions in order, you would get to the step after you put the top on, then you would be out of luck. Also make sure the nozzle on the canister is closed (turned to the right) . I also made this mistake by having one of the nozzles slightly open and can wont pressurize obviously. The next thing is is that the power plug has two parts and the part that plugs into the canister is like a 1980โs telephone wall plug (but like 1/4 of the size) you know the kind with the square plastic part in which you press in with your thumb with a clipโฆ well that part is really cheaply made and anytime you move the canister that part becomes detached so youโre gonna have to make sure that when you set up your tank, you said it really close to the tank itself because if you stretch the cord far enough or move the tank that thing is gonna come unplugged. And you probably wonโt be paying attention and youโll realize no CO2 is coming out of your tank because the power was shut off. Another thing to note the suction cups on the diffuser are not very strong so when you set the diffuser inside the aquarium, they come loose very easily so youโre gonna have to press like heck to get that thing to stay. When installing the check valve, if you donโt know how to install a check valve the part that points like an arrow in other words, the smaller pointy part goes to where the co2 is going to come out (which in this case is inside tank). Items youโll need in addition to this: citric acid (chemical A) and baking soda (chemical b). You can buy them from this company or you can just buy them in bulk on Amazon. I recommend you buy them in bulk because itโs gonna be a lot more expensive to buy them from the company. Also you need a scale and a funnel because youโre gonna have to weigh these items in grams you cannot measure powders. The directions are given in grams so you need a digital kitchen scale which can also be bought on Amazon. I found it most cost effective to buy the baking soda from Amazon grocery it was $.99 for 1 pound. Last thing u need is a timer. I bought a Kasa smart wifi plug. So to summarize in addition to buying this item, you are gonna have to buy a funnel, baking soda, citric acid, digital kitchen scale, kasa wifi timer, and I forgotโฆa CO2 level drop checker that sticks to the inside of the tank. By the way, in order to prevent gassing and killling all your fish, your bubbles per minute should be about 60 I do recommend this item due to the cost. It does have some quirks, but this was my first time ever using CO2 and Iโm a chick and it was not intimidating at all and now that I know how to use it. Itโs super easy. If you have two or more tanks, you can run this thing on a splitter, but like I said, I tried that and the splitter did not work for me, but I couldโve been doing something wrong. Due to the cost of buying the splitter and all the extra parts (diffuser, etc) itโs just as cheap to buy another tank. It comes out to be the same cost so I recommend buying a second and third tank and that way you wonโt have to refill as much. At 70 bucks you canโt go wrong

Buy your own accessories
The tank and concept are great, however the regulator and accessories are disasters. The bubbles per second you get from the regulator vary by almost 50% left and right of what you set it to at any given moment. I think I'll be turning the co2 system off while on vacation. The co2 resistant tubing is resistant to everything i try to do. It's a tight spiral slinky despite all of my efforts. I filled and soaked the tubing in hot tap water and tried to stretch it, but it just coils back up like a spring. Speaking of soaking, for some reason there's instructions to disassemble the relay switch and soak several of its parts in alcohol for an undisclosed amount of time. It gives you nice tools to take it apart, but putting it back together is a nightmare of bloody finger tips. The system seems to work, but I'm real nervous it's gonna kill everything in my tank. (Update and added a video) I've changed my review to 1 star. The shut off relay broke the first night I left it alone. I woke up to the ph indicator saying there was an issue in my fish tank and when I checked things out I found the relay wouldn't shut the co2 off even when unplugged.

So Good!
Love this thing!!!! So easy to use and setup. Doesn't come with any of the chemicals needs for the reaction so be sure and buy some. The 600mini uses about half a back of each chemical and I got a box of like 10 for 20 dollars I believe. So that's 20 refills or a dollar a refill. Be sure and get an electric timer if you get the solenoid version to be able to turn it off at night! (no need to run Co2 at night when photosynthesis isn't happening.) My only regret is getting the 600mini. I have a 20gallon tank and at the rate I'm using the Co2, I'll go through canister's worth about every 2 or 3 weeks. Plenty of time but it would be nice if it lasted a month or so, so I could be extra lazy lol. I'd go one step up in size if I could buy it over again to be able to go to a monthly recharge instead of a half month recharge in my 20g-long but I'm not complaining. You can't go wrong either way. Don't forget to get a Co2 drop checker for your tank if this is your first time using Co2 in your aquarium!

Disappointed with product and seller
UPDATE: Changing from 1 star to 3 stars. Yes, I have had many issues with this specific product not working properly but the seller has been very helpful and responding back to my concerns. After some back and forth they agreed to send a couple replacement parts for free. One of my main concerns was that the beads were constantly getting wet and the bubble counter kept going even when the power was off, which indicated that CO2 was constantly being injected into the tank day and night. After replacing the beads the generator seemed to work properly again for about 2 weeks, but then the same issues came back. I also had to tighten one of the valves as it was already getting loose and I noticed leakage. Maybe part of it is user error but at this point I don't see myself continuing to pursue getting this fixed. It's an affordable item that seems to be working perfectly for most users so I'd day it's a good beginner/temporary setup for CO2. ------------------------------โ------------------------ I would like to express my disappointment with this item and the seller. I bought the g600smini about 2 months ago and I will say, it was working perfectly for me in the beginning. It was perfect for my 10-gallon. I was drawn by the easy beginner-friendly aspect and the affordable price point. However, about a month/month and a half into using the product I noticed there was significant leakage. I would go from a full can of c02 to nearly empty within a single night even though I only turn on the generator on a set schedule. I bought the citric acid and baking soda provided by the company and measured according to this specific generator size. Thinking it could have been user error or a one-time incident, I kept refilling and trying over and over for another week. The same thing kept happening so I reached out to the company to ask for advice and replacement parts. They were helpful in the beginning, suggesting what the reason of leakage could be and recommended I submerge the filled generator in water and watch for air bubbles to pinpoint exactly where the air was leaking from. They did not offer replacements but told me I could pruchase replacements myself. I did exactly as they suggested and immediately noticed air bubbles coming out from the circled area in the photo I have attached to this review. They replied saying leakage from this area is normal after prolonged use and I could tighten it myself with a wrench. Keep in mind, I have only been using this item for only about 2 months AT MOST and noticed issues after a month of use. Which only makes me believe that it could be an issue or defect with this specific item itself. I did not even ask for a refund or an entirely new product. I want to like this product badly and want to give it a fair chance so all I asked was for a replacement for that specific part. I am thankful for the advice they gave me on how I can troubleshoot, but I am a bit disappointed with how I was prompted to purchase my own replacements or fix the parts myself even though the product is still fairly new. My review could change in the future as I am still currently emailing back and forth with the seller, but for now my rating is 1 star.

Quick replacement
A video guide for this products set up would be helpful. It can be a little confusing for set up especially with adding materials. There are some discrepancies about amount to add online. Product seems to work well but only last a 3-4 days even with bubbler set at 2-3 bubbles a second and turning off at night. Appears to be working well though. The glass was cracked on the bubbler when it arrived but product was replaced within 2 days which was very helpful.

better than going to refill co2 tanks
pretty simple to setup if you have any common sense to how to put things together. wish it came with chemicals, but on their page and easy to get - follow directions from the tank you get don't think ingredient purchase will tell you. should have a kitchen scale, and get a co2 tester and don't follow blindly.
