Yes great set worked well and what I wanted

I had a little issue with the cutter slicing through on the first try still giving it five stars the compression feature was right on the money the ends did require a little bit of lubricant and some twisting to fit on the RG6 I was working with and that's after pairing back the braided shield. The cutter was absolutely astounding when it came to the right depth for each layer and pulling it off once the rotating was done.

I bought this kit for a custom run of RG6 coaxial cable from my satellite dish to my TV. It ended up working well, but there was one issue. One of the included connectors was not threaded, so I went through the process of crimping it on but was not able to connect it to anything. Thankfully I had enough slack I could just cut off the last couple inches of cable and start again. But make sure you double check the threads for all of your connectors.

Ok so I wanted to get rid of all the long cable cords coming out of my walls. I wanted to use coax cable wall plates instead. I suggest you practice with the kit first on some cable cord if your a fist time user which I am glad I did. All in all the kit worked to get the job done. Would like to give a 4 stars because I don't think it would be the sellers fault on how this was packaged. Well here's my review. Pros: 1.Great value for the money. 2. Nicely kitted. 3. Does the job. 4. Plenty of F-connectors( you'll need this to practice with because once used, that's it). 5. Great compression tool for standard RG6/RG6Quad/RG6 Plenum F-connectors. Cons: 1. No written directions or safety warnings. I sliced my thumb good on the crimper not realizing so many razors IN the handle area . The crimper is not safe. I would remove the blades in the handle and storage them in a container for later use. 2. Watch a lot of good YouTube videos to use the items properly if you're a first time user like me. Seller videos are ok but not enough for beginners. 3. NO F-connectors for RG6Quad/RG6 Plenum. I needed indoor/outdoor F-Connectors because of 2 of my high-speed internet coax tv6 cable lines my provider installed. The lines are little more rigid and a hair thicker. They need to have of few these in the kit. Had to go to a big box store. The ones supplied just will not work. You'll find yourself twisting your arm off if you don't.

Although I have not had occasion to use it yet, the entire package is robust looking and appears as advertised. The crimping tool was a bit larger than the picture showed, and this is a good thing. The tool seems to be made well. I am impressed with it whole package and look forward to using it in the field.

They work well

I'd like to talk about the dislikes first and then near the end I'll talk about what I do like about the product. I would have given 5 stars but for two reasons, first the plastic case that holds the connectors was cracked and a small section of the plastic case, where it was cracked, was missing. Considering it was all sealed up inside the zipper carrying case, it must have already been cracked before it was put inside the zipper case because the missing plastic section was not found loose inside the sealed zipper case, nor inside the shipping packaging. This is not a deal breaker as the rest of the kit was very nice, but I wanted to just mention it. The plastic connector holding case would have been perfect to keep around to refill since the zipper case has an elastic band spot to hold it into place. This issue was not worth asking for a replacement, but quality control might be something to just consider on future shipments. The next thing I didn't like were the connectors themselves. When pushing them onto the stripped cabling the center metal tube inside the connector pushed out towards the connection end of the connector. I've never seen this happen before in my years of doing this professionally. I was able to use the crimper to force it back down inside, but I'm not sure if that's a defect or jut how this brand works. Normally the white plastic ring around the copper wire core, pushes up inside that tube and becomes flush with the inside of the twist on section of the connector. However instead twice now the cable wouldn't accept the plastic up inside the tube and instead pushed against it and made it pop out. This is difficult to explain, and I was shocked that it even happened. All in all the rest of the kit is perfect if you are looking into doing your own cabling. I bought these tools so I'd have my own set, as I previously would just borrow the use of my work tools on small personal jobs. This kit comes will everything you need. I needed it specifically for making RG6 cables, as that's what's typically used in TV and Cable modem hookups. I wish it would have come with a straight screw driver along with the Philips head screw driver it does come with, but that's not a big deal. It's just that a straight head screw driver would help take off outlet covers, as mine are all straight headed screws. I also preferred using my own wire cutters to cut the cables to length, it just seemed easier to use in my situation. I would recommend this kit to anyone starting out. Given the cost of the connectors alone in local retail stores, you practically get all the tool needs for free. Its also nice to have the zipper case to keep everything all together right where you need them.

If you have enough cable, have a good practice with the cable stripper tool. Also make sure you insert the cable all the way in the f connector so that the white plastic insulation is nice and level with the openning. Also make sure the adjustable crimp connector is set correctly. It is better to make it a bit loose as you can always readjust and squeeze again.

Very well built and heavy duty product with a nice case to keep it all together, The ends seem to be good quality and worked well on some cables. I found that with the shaw cable in my house I had to put some tape around the cable because it was smaller and the ends would slip off. I just printed out the instructions from the Amazon page and watched a YouTube video and it was easy to use.
