Artizen 2oz Oils - Lavender Essential Oil - 2 Fluid Ounces

My daughter has issues with allergies due to laundry soap. The prices for name brand grocery store soaps for sensitive skin is outrageous! I buy Zote Flakes here on Amazon. I am NOT a fan of the smell however. Everyone says their clothes have that old man smell. I agree. Not a fan. I use Lavender for quite a few things. I grow it here and have developed a few ways of using it. I even bought a distiller to make tincture and oil. To be honest...I can't make it as well as this particular product. I am a regular consumer. I have one of those new washers that uses less water. Not a fan of that either. Anyway I found one that has a removable agitator...which I would only remove for blankets and such. I feel my soap flakes need some help so I use about one dropper full for a extra large load. My washer has a HUGE drum for extra large loads. Otherwise I use about 8 to10 drops of a dropper for a regular large load. I don't put directly on clothing. I will put my clothes in...find an open hole or spot between items and drop lavender down to the bottom of the drum. When my clothes come out they smell really nice. Not strong or perfume smelling. Just clean with a faint delicious lavender smell. Absolutely zero allergic reaction. I will never go back to using overpriced grocery store laundry soap again. Using this wonderful lavender in conjunction with Zote Flakes makes the perfect concoction. Clean and smells fabulous!!!!!!!

I use this oil slightly cosmetically in very small quantities. The reason I do so is this: I discovered a few years back that I had been using a different brand somewhat cosmetically that was *not* supposed to be used on the skin. So, I switched from that brand to a cosmetic brand that was very expensive. I noticed that a rash I had had for years went away then, which I guess was that other brand of essential oil. A year or so ago, a friend gave me a bottle of this brand, Artizen, and I did fine with it. No rash, no skin irritation at all. And it's less expensive. Here's how I use it: I add a little to my bath water sometimes because it makes the whole bathroom smell wonderful. So nice. Sometimes I use Clove and Cinnamon instead of Lavendar. So wonderful. Anyway, I also sometimes put a little essential oil in Almond oil, as well as some Rosehip oil, and I apply it to my skin after I bathe. I don't use much, and the scent is very mild, but it does smell nice. I get compliments all the time. And I've never had any sort of bad reaction even though my skin is very sensitive.

I was given a small ultrasonic diffuser as a gift years ago and, to my surprise, really liked it. I don't like flowery or artificial smells but it came with a selection of scented oils that were pleasant and not overpowering. I can also add camphor or menthol to it if I'm congested and it helps me breathe a bit better. One of the oils I tried in the diffuser was lavender. I really liked it so when I ran out I bought this one to try. A few drops fills the room with a light smell of lavender. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but it's nice to turn the diffuser on and come back a few minutes later to a room that's been lightly scented. Way better than most air fresheners as far as I'm concerned.

I ordered several different oils for the purpose of adding to my electric candle warming dish to refresh the air. I had read recommendations to add some water to the oil for better effect. Of all the oils I ordered at the same time - from the same seller - the Lavender came beautifully packaged in a molded covered white box with a place for the oil bottle to lay and a separate compartment for the glass dropper - that was very nice. The Lavender itself smells nice but lacks luster. It does not “pop” if you will, with strong fragrance. I did apply with a carrier oil to my arm to see if it intensified - on a scale of 1-10 I say it made it stronger to a 3. It did not linger and the fragrance was gone within minutes. I experimented with oil only - water and oil- concentrated oil to water - none of it made a difference in the warmer. If you were within a foot or so you caught a whiff- so I am disappointed in the lack of strength of smell. This was my first time ordering this particular brand and I have used others that were so strong your eyes would water. I don’t want to give a bad review I just think that if you are looking to use this for fragrance purposes perhaps try a different brand. Once again all the different oils I ordered in the bottle do smell good. Fresh and clean however this just isn’t strong enough for what I wanted. Hope this helps!!

I have been purchasing lavender oils for years now, and in particular this brand from Amazon. If I find a product I like I tend not to stray too far, and although I may try other brands here and there, I usually return to my original favorite. Artizen brand for my lavender oil preference is no exception. I have never had an issue with the oil being of poor quality or irritating (I also have a tolerance for lavender/essential oils - each person may be different), and I even use it in scrubs and oil combinations for my own skin and gifts to others. I have purchased other oils from this brand also - always great quality and scent/concentration, and excellent value for your money.

Lavender essential oil helps with sleep. Few drops in the area and you'll get deeper sleep. Good stuff to have on hand.
