GU5.3/ MR16 LED Bulb

I have struggle to get these for my kitchen, I finally have light. With there value for money and brightness it’s a win!

Replacements for halogens in the kitchen, bought the cool white ones first but they were far too bright for what I wanted so then bought these warm white ones and they are ideal. They flickered on the old halogen transformers, which other people had warned may happen, so bought the LED transformers from the same company, just fitted them and everything working perfectly.

These were very easy to install and seem good quality, though to my eyes they are more white than warm white. This isn't too much of a concern in their current location for me, but some LEDs lights are to clinical and don't lend themselves to a home environment.

Just fitted 2 "Warm white" bulbs in our bathroom, with a vaulted ceiling they work well to light the room. Warm white gives a warmer glow to the room than the Cool white that makes it feel more clinical. Depends what effect you prefer. I fit cool white for workshop / garage area which I find better for a working light. At around £2.30 per bulb they are still expensive, but the cost of LED has come down loads. I think the previous LED I had have lasted 7 or 8 years but cost £5+ ?? I had halogen 10+ years ago and they only lasted 1-2 years. Hopefully these will last many years.

I bought these to use with a dimming switch, I could not use them with that as the lights flicker ..so now above our dining table on a normal switch , lovely warm white light.

These bulbs are amazing, and cost just slightly over 4p to leave on for 24 hours (0.17p an hour). The old halogen bulbs they replaced were costing almost 41p for 24 hours. What a saving! Lovely bright light, and as easy to install as other bulbs. Unfortunately one of the bulbs on the packet didn't work, hence the lower rating. Had they all worked this would easily have been a 5 star product.

The bulbs seemed mostly okay and are pretty bright however they all emit an audible buzz. In addition, one of four light sockets would cause the bulb(s) to rapidly flicker and would suggest a bad transformer. I tried some equivalent Tesco LED bulbs which initially seemed fine, but would flicker just like before only minutes later. Fortunately, equivalent Phillips LED bulbs work flawlessly. They are a bit more expensive, but less than the cost of a new transformer :) Would these bulbs work okay with a proper LED transformer? Probably. Am I happier to use more expensive Philips LED bulbs to avoid needlessly replacing transformers? Absolutely yes. Transformers don’t just cost money either, it’s also a lot of time and effort. Unlike these bulbs, they are a drop-in replacement for halogens. Hope this is helpful for someone as I was starting to think I’d have to just buy more halogens.

Arrived early: easy to fit into my existing bulb holders: work perfectly with my old halogen transformer : bright warm light. I'm very pleased, the bulbs are exactly what I wanted.

I faretti arrivano in una confezione ben protetta che può essere utilizzata per conservarne qualcuno qualora non debbano essere installati tutti e 6. La classe energetica è F (la precedente classificazione A++ non è più a norma). La luminosità equivalente è con una alogena da 15 watt, non certo da 50 come dichiarato; la luminosità è comunque efficace. L'anngolo di proiezione è 36° e non 40 come riportato. Prodotto consigliato con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Las GU con pincho son mas dificiles de encontrar en LED que las de pivote, no se muy bien por que, pero es una realidad, asi que ibamos tirando con las del pasillo hasta que se fundieron las dos ultimas y ya era como el pasillo de la casa del terror. Momento de cambiarlas. Este pack parecía una buena opción y creo que acertamos. Muy bien presentado y protegido, las bombillas tienen buen peso y buenos acabados, la luz que dan, al haber elegido las de 3000K, el tono es agradable y calido, como se esperaba y la primera sensación es que no se calientan. En definitiva, buena compra y producto prometedor. Veremos si aguantan las teoricas 20,000 hrs que anuncian.

Works as expected, bright and feels like good quality product. Good packaging too to protect the bulbs.

Muy buenas bombillas. Color cálido igual que las alógenas.
