Only Hunter Fan downrods fit Hunter Fans!
I bought two Hunter Fans to replace non-Hunter Fans and thought the down rods (the rods holding electric wires from the ceiling fixture to the height one wants the fan) from the former fans would work. No, they will not! Gotta have Hunter down rods for Hunter Fans! Thanks to Amazon's quick delivery, we weren't stuck very long. Hunter has down rods to match their fans, so check the color on the front of the booklet, which is in Spanish on one side and English on the other.

Works well, perfect match
We couldn't find matte silver downrods for our Hunter fans anywhere locally. The big box stores only sell the most common colors and they all sell the same ones. These were a perfect match and buying them online was simple. Be sure not to cut the wires before installing everything and the installation will be very easy.

Perfect match
I purchased this fan at COSTCO, nice fan at a good price. When I tried to get the downrod extension locally at LOWES or Home Depot I found that they don't carry Hunter downrods - at least the stores around me. Fortunately, I found the perfect color and size for our 10ft. ceiling at Amazon. Life's good!
