nodpod Patented Gentle Pressure Sleep Mask, Weighted Eye Mask

Man, I love this thing. This is the second one I purchased after an unfortunate incident between my dog and the first one I bought. The weighted nature of this sleep mask keeps your eyes closed and truly helps you fall asleep. I suffer from chronic insomnia - and it has really helped me. While you might thing the weight and fabric of the non-silk version would be warm, it's not. It's a gentle pressure and cooling combination that makes it where I can barely sleep without it. It is just the right amount of weight and thickness to block light without making you feel trapped. I love it. If you are one of those people, like me, who closes their eyes for 10 minutes and immediately picks up their phone, I *highly* recommend this.

I recommend a nodpod to anyone that will listen! I think the weight of this sleep mask is just right, and personally I love that it’s intended to come off once you’ve fallen asleep and rolled over or whatnot. I couldn’t use other sleep masks because I’d feel kind of claustrophobic with it wrapped all the way around my head and this takes care of that! I also really like the silk option; it’s got a cooling quality to it and seems to be holding up well! I wash mine on delicate and lay it out to air dry. As far as my sleep itself, I feel like I fall asleep easier and tend to feel more rested. Genuinely love this thing and intend to give everyone I know one for Christmas this year lol

Great sleep , and surprisingly helped dampen noise. my bedroom window is east facing and the morning sun easily wakes me up and not only that my cats beg and scratch my door every morning. I was able to ignore their cries 😅 and I didn't even notice the sun went up. The difference was actually blinding when I took it off. I generally sleep on my back so it didn't fall off and even when I moved to the side adjusting the mask was seamless in comparison to adjusting an elastic sleep mask. one side is smooth and cooler and the other is still soft but warmer. i was surprised to realize it's weighted with beads sectioned in 4 mounds, which I think is the reason why it rests on the eyes without slipping off. i loo forward to taking naps with it too almost like when you cover your eyes with a blanket without covering your breathing. I think the texture of the beads could improve poo

This is so unlike any other mask on the market. It doesn’t feel like a mask but a delicious buttery warmth on your eyes that blocks out light. No constriction around your head. It serves its purpose with a gentle, delicate and relaxing feeling. I tried other masks that made me feel like I was at a masquerade party. This is so soft and luxurious. I’m over the moon about this product and am grateful to the geniuses that designed it. Worth every penny.

There's a lot I really like about it. The packaging, material and feel are all good quality. I enjoyed using it. However, I ended up returning it because even using it for side sleeping, the extra weight did a terrible number on my neck. For days after I started using it, I had awful neck pain when turning my head. I didn't realize that's what was causing it until I forgot to use my nodpod one night. It does a great job of blocking out light and is very relaxing to use if you have the patience to wait the 2-3 minutes for the weight to really kick in. Highly recommended for everyone that doesn't have a weak neck like me apparently.

I suffer from Chiari Malformation as well as other issues that cause me pain & trouble sleeping. I used this last night & it helped so very much. It's soft & not irritating to my face. It stayed in place, blocks out light & overall helps with anxiety & migraine. I highly recommend this product. This is my "go to present" when I don't know what to give someone who has everything!!! I was given a Nodpod about ive years ago and at first thought I didn't need it. After a few months of it sitting in its little container, I finally got it out. It was so pretty and I loved the pink color. I put it on my eyes, didn't know how to fasten it, so I just placed it over my eyes with the "pillows" on my eyes, rolled over on my side, shut my eyes and didn't wake up until the next morning. It was then I realized I had kept the light on all night!!!! It totally blocks out all light. I am not keen on a weighted blanket, so that could have been one of my hesitations of waiting to try it out. Not to worry.....it is the perfect weight and thickness, and nothing like a weighted blanket. You will note, one side is a little cooler, so you will just have to figure it out. I think it is the jersey side. I have told all of my friends, and as I wrote earlier, I have given this as a present for many of them..... I wanted to make sure I would never be without one, as I take my Nodpod along with my favorite pillow on trips and frequently forget a pillow here or there. (I wanted to make sure I was never without my Nodpod!!) It washes up so nicely, and I put it in the dryer on air unless it accidentially gets in the wash and dryer with other items. All of my friends who know about the Nodpod and have tried it or I have gifted them one, love it. I have ordered the sage color for myself, but keep returning to the pink one to order for friends. If you are worried about any smell coming from the material or the stuff inside the Nodpod, there is none. It doesn't slip off my face at night, and I love the feel of it. In addition, if you wear a CPAP, it will still fit. I have had a CPAP for about 15 years, and use the nasal pillow mask. No problem with the Nodpod as I do not have any interference. In fact, I think I sleep a bit better with the Nodpod. If your mind is going a gazillion miles an hour when you lie down even though you are really tired, the Nodpod somehow slows your mind down and totally makes you relax. I don't know of any bad comments to make. I do try to order them on Black Friday when the price is reduced so I can give them as Christmas presents. I probably could continue, but I think you get the message that this is a wonderful product. If I were a child and had a "blankie" I would relate to my Nodpod as my Nodpod "blankie"

I have way too many eye masks for sleep. I started wearing one a few years ago out of necessity (east-facing bedroom, narcolepsy naps during the day) and now can’t fall asleep without one. “The ideal eye mask for sleeping” doesn’t seem to exist, so I’m always on the lookout for masks that are: - a comfy material - light-blocking - side sleeper friendly - machine-washable - weighted is nice but not necessary - not too tight around my head - quiet (e.g. no Velcro) - not too ridiculous-looking - minimal bulk My collection is primarily made up of those polyester satin ones with the elastic band, as they’re cheap and easy to get in multipacks for when the elastic eventually gets too loose. That said, I prefer a bit more weight against my eyelids, but it’s hard to find weighted ones that are machine washable — not to mention not overstuffed or scented. Nodpod checks a lot of boxes for me: weighted, machine washable, nice-looking, unique design, unlikely to get lost in the void, comfy material, light-blocking (kind of)… I’ll admit the marketing is effective, making nodpod look like a really chic, name-brand item that many people use & like more than random-no-name-brand masks. It has a price tag to match, which is a little unfortunate ($38 for the cotton one at time of writing). But this is justified enough by the lack of common points of failure (e.g. elastic, poor stitching), as well as being unlikely to lose/should last a while. Nodpod in practice: Comfort: The pockets full of polypropylene beads are a nice weight (not too bulky/overstuffed), perfectly eye-socket-shaped (lol), both the minky side & jersey side feel nice against my skin, and there’s no smell. Light blocking: Bone White looks nice on the bed/from the outside, but the cream colored fabric and clear beads let light in, so if your main need is to block out light, GET A DARKER COLOR! Fit: Technically there is a hole on one end through which the fabric on the other can be shoved to form a sort of “loose halo.” This feature only really seems to be advertised for use while sitting upright (e.g… during meditation? Or maybe for vampires?), as it is not comfortable to use this way lying down. Your head will either rest on the lumpy weighted pockets or the lumpy buttonhole with fabric jammed through it, regardless of sleeping position. I can’t imagine using it sitting up either, at least not with a skull as small as mine, as it doesn’t sit tight enough. The lack of any sort of attachment (e.g. elastic, button, Velcro, etc.) is what sets it apart, really. If you don’t want to have/need a band around your head keeping an eye mask in place the entire night, this might work well for you. I don’t move around THAT much in my sleep — I might roll over once or twice, or wake up having shifted from my side to my back — but can’t figure out how anyone else gets it to keep their eyes covered all night, unless y’all are consciously placing it over your eyes again every time you rearrange. For me, it just slides off. This is fine for the most part — if I’m fully asleep, won’t care whether I have an eye mask on, so if it ends up next to my pillow by the morning, whatever. However, the biggest problem here took me by surprise (and is quite big): having followed gravity off my face & pillow, the nodpod often ends up draped over my throat by the time I wake up. This seems sort of hazardous, no…? It’s not heavy enough to choke, but it is not so light that this doesn’t matter. It would be a solid 5-star product if there was some optional way to keep it secure, like an elastic tie at the very least, and more opaque fabric used for the lighter colors. Ultimately, I’m back and forth about whether or not to return it. I think whether or not it’ll work for you is super dependent on your sleeping habits.

As a side sleeper this has been a game changer for me, I no longer need to use blockout blinds. Nice and soft, it does slide off but I just put it back on.

I used to wear a normal sleeping mask but the straps would kill the sides of my head/ears. When I came across the nodpod I was a little sceptical on how this would work. I sleep in all sorts of positions so having the loop on the back is so beneficial. But the weighted aspect is a game changer! I feel like a baby as soon as I feel the weight on my eyes. I highly recommend trying it out

Best product purchase ever but wish I got a darker colour. White lets too much light through.
