Brings back memories
Bought this for my daughter (6 yrs old) thinking she’d LOVE it because she likes little electronic games/gadgets and I used to be obsessed with mine growing up. She didn’t quite understand how it worked and in the process of showing her I kind of took it on as my own haha still as fun and pointless as I remember. Ahhhhh childhood memories.....

Understand what you are buying
I loved Tamagotchis growing up. While these Gen 2 bring me back, the lack of game options are disappointing. Also be aware that these tamagotchis do not connect to one another, if you want ones that do you need to find the tamagotchi connect.

Love tamagotchis!
It’s like the ones from my childhood. Gen 2 (P2) characters. You can feed them, play, take care... use it as a watch/clock.

Blast from the past! Love it!
Bought these for my nieces, and they love them! It’s a childhood flash back for me and I wanted to share that with the kids. This gift was a huge hit!

I found it difficult to tell which of the items for sale on Amazon was actually a genuine Tamagotchi like I had when I was a kid. However, I can confirm that this one is the real deal. The only difference I have noticed is with the numbers game - the numbers change each time rather than following on from each other as they did on mine. A quick Google suggests this was changed in a later version. Otherwise, it's identical. My 8yo loves hers and my 9yo has asked for one for her birthday now too. Very pleased.
