Pretty solid bump helmet
Like the tittle says, pretty solid bump helmet for a very decent price. I've seen some go for cheaper which might be the same or close to being the same as this one but I went with this one because of other reviews and it didn't disappoint. The quality seems good, especially for the price point, of course don't expect it to be the same quality as a $1k helmet or something but it should stand a little bit of abuse, will report on that later since I haven't had this long enough yet. It is very comfortable with the padding it comes with but I got another set of pads to reinforce that comfort a little bit, you can get them for like $10 bucks but it's something you don't absolutely need so no big deal. The rails seem to be accurately sized, so fit is pretty good for accessories like ear protection or lights etc... As far as the size, my head is a bit on the small side and this helmet fits almost perfect, the helmet actually feels like it may be a bit on the small side because I feel if my head was any bigger, the sides padding would probably make it too tight as it already makes it tight so I just moved them up more towards the top and barely have any side padding on it now. My head, I believe is around 21.5 - 22 inches so if you have a bigger melon, I probably wouldn't go this helmet as it probably would be too small for you. The shroud for mounting NVG/NODS or whatever optic you want to mount there is ok. I feel like it does its job and does hold my PVS-14 but I definitely wouldn't be confident with it doing heavy and rough activities with it, I think it will be fine for light training, range shooting or hiking and things like that. I will be upgrading the shroud with a metal heavy duty one like the Wilcox since I care about my nods and don't want this one to crack and maybe have a boo boo lol. Now remember that this is a bump helmet and won't give you any protection other than hitting your head against a table or something... with that said, I would recommend this for training since it's light weight and gets you started to feel what it's like to have a heavy thing on your head for long periods of time. Trust me, it's not as easy as they show on movies and TV, you will get headaches and neck pain and even make you feel dizzy at times so getting used to and getting familiar with it is a must... and this is a great starting point that won't break the bank. For airsoft stuff, for sure it'd be great. So if you are looking for a good training bump helmet, or if you need something light because of specific reasons like neck problems or back problems, this helmet is a great option as a starter imho. I gave it 4 stars because so far everything looks good but I don't know the durability and quality over time so after a while and after I put some good use to it, I will update to maybe 5 stars if it holds up as good as it looks! Update: after almost 4 months and a good deal of use, I can say it is holding up pretty good 👍 I mostly just do hikes and some light training with it but always use it with the pvs-14 (night vision) on it. I haven't abused the hell out of it or anything but for my needs and use, it is great. I'm updating to 5 stars because even though it is not the absolute best quality, it is pretty darn great, it's held up excellent so far and for this price point, it deserves a 5 star!

Entry level and budget friendly helmet.
Bought this bump helmet for occasional use at the range. Seems very good quality and comes with all the necessary padding inside as well as velcro loops outside. Feel comfortable to wear and light. I added a OneTigris cover and Kydex weight pouch. I will update after a few uses.

Upgrade the nv mount and ARCH rails for duty use
It is a bump helmet and composed to look and function like the Ops-Core brand fast cut ACH. It is NOT a ballistic helmet. If you decide to use this item for duty use make sure you upgrade the ARCH rails and NV mounts. Never put real equipment on items that are not real ballistic name brand equipment, you are asking for trouble. Overall the helmet is a good deal, it fits well and could keep you from breakin yer busket in the right situations.

Great for mounting hands-free NV binoculars or monocles. Good enough quality for recreational use.
Purchased this helmet to mount a set of Fairfield 1x24 NV binoculars without using the crappy headset it comes with. (Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Firefield-Tracker-Vision-Goggle-Binoculars/dp/B00TOKTK9E/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1457507635&sr=8-20&keywords=night+vision+binoculars). This helmet sells on Amazon for pricing between ~$50-88, with the higher cost going to dipped camouflage patterns - which aren't worth the extra $38 if you ask me. The plastic mounts work fine, and I was able to install the metal plate BEHIND the front NVG mount, making for a permanent installation of the Fairfield mounting bracket. The bracket allows for easy thumb-screw removal of the binoculars from the mount - which works fine in practice. With very little modification and sliding the mount around, I was able to get the NV binoculars in the perfect position to ride directly in front of the eyes and with proper spacing to allow some airflow, but not so much as to allow green spill out the sides when in use. Overall, the helmet is well-built, easy to modify to fit your head (I purchased Med-Lg and it fight just right), and offers a lot of adjustment for getting a proper fit. To stress my use of it - this is ONLY to mount a hands-free NV binocular, as it offers NO ballistic protection whatsoever. The true Ops-Core models run upwards of $900-1200 for Kevlar protection, and for recreational use, that's excessive. Various pads and Velcro allow for customization of the fit within the helmet and I don't have any high expectations for durability at this price. For my recreational use when camping or star-gazing, it fits the bill for a hands-free, comfortable mounting platform which frees up my hands for other tasks. Four stars, with one missing only because the plastic used in the NVG mount is flimsy, brittle, and didn't work properly out of the box. I ended up not using the quick-release insert anyway, opting instead for a metal plate installation which is less quick-release, but more sturdy. Also, the helmet was not completely finished, with Velcro pads in a separate bag and looked like it was rushed to shipment - not difficult to install, and anybody can finish what needs to be done to their satisfaction. I ended up leaving off a bunch of the exterior Velcro pads because I don't intend to stick a lot of stuff to the outside.

Very pleased
Looks good and functions well. it’s a good weight not too heavy, not too light, It fits my head well and I love the chin strap. It’s easy to put on in adjust. Hook and loop inside for the padding Is decent could be stronger. I would buy again I am happy. also, if you are having trouble putting on the helmet cover on that you can buy separately you just have to tuck it in to the front and back where the Velcro is it’s a bit tough to do but that’s how it works if you don’t know what you’re doing

Good bump helmet
Good bump helmet. Bit of a tight fit for a big head but works well.

Good helmet
Fits very nicely and is lightweight but durable, and the padding/head locking system is very good. the included velcro being separate was also a plus, so i could customize it to my liking.
