This is a quality knife and I bought it for my emergency go bag because it was recommended for a woman’s smaller hands. It was too small for me to easily deploy and close it.

Received this puppy yesterday and I can see it will be my EDC! Excellent form and fit! Ease of use and great lock up! While a bit pricey this is a wonderful EDC knife. I didn't experience any lock up issues some previous buyers did. While quite sharp it did need a few strokes on a ceramic rod for it to shave hairs. If you have the $$ I highly recommend this knife, you won't be sorry! I do wish Benchmade would make this same knife with a Wharncliffe blade like the Kershaw Leek though. I find this blade design very functional and the easiest to sharpen.

I paid $297 for this Benchmade knife. I was expecting a smooth action and high quality, but I feel it is not a high quality knife. The knife is smaller than I expected, although it is the size listed. I ordered it as a gift for my son, so I haven't seen it in person till I received it. The blade action is rough, the lock mechanism makes a squeaking sound when you pull the slide back, and it is very rough feeling. I have read that it smooths out after it is used a while. The blade grind looks even and consistent on both sides. I have a lot of pocket knives in the $150 or less range and they all have much smoother action than this knife. If I buy one for myself I would not spend the extra for the carbon fiber scales and better steel.

The mini bugout is a great pick for a small compact carry knife. Regardless of which version it is carbon fiber/g10 the size is the same and very lightweight to keep in a pants pocket and not even know it’s there. The blade came sharp but not AS sharp as other benchmades I’ve owned like the bailout or the 496. Axis lock is as solid on this knife as others. No blade wobble everything locks tight. Would recommend for someone wanting a very light blade to toss in a pants pocket and forget about until they need it.
