Hanging Basking Platform

Very happy with this turtle dock! I have several basking platforms from SKARUS, and they continue to impress me with quality and thoughtful design. Dual Arm System: I'm curious to see how well this hangs with just two hanging arms as opposed to the four-arm models. So far it seems stable, and I think the feet you attach to the bottom will help a lot to provide additional stability and prevent tipping. Assembly: Like the other SKARUS platforms I've used, the instructions are well-written and clear. Assembly takes a bit of time to ensure everything fits together securely, but it's worth it for your turtle's safety. Size Consideration: This seems great for juvenile turtles - probably not full-sized adult ones though. If you have large, heavy turtles, you might want to consider a different model with more support. Adjustability: I love the extensible height feature! Being able to customize the platform height for your specific tank setup is fantastic. The 1.2" rim gap accommodation works with a wide variety of tank styles. Non-Slip Ramp: The non-slip ramp is a nice touch that makes it easier for turtles to climb up and access the basking area safely. Value: Great value for the price, and you can dress it up with moss or plants to make it look more natural in your tank. Bottom Line: Excellent turtle dock for juvenile turtles. Well-made and adjustable. Curious about dual-arm stability but optimistic! Highly recommend!

I ordered this for our adult RES turtle who is in need of a new basking spot. The instructions seem pretty straightforward, but I had issues with which side should face which way. I also couldn't get a couple of the pieces to go in all the way. When I tried to push it further I could hear the beginning of a crack, so I stopped. Although it appears to be well made and durable, I would feel a lot better if the pieces fit properly. The basking space is large enough for a full grown turtle and it feels like it would support his weight without issue. I especially like the adjustable height so you can set the platform further down if needed. This is a decent price for the product, but I worry that the lack of proper fit could result in product failure. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.
