This says it's compatible with that LCR45 but it's pretty much a clone. You just clip the parts in and most of the time it figures out what it is right away on the "auto" setting. Occasionally you need to use the manual setting but if you are bad at math like me there are lots of charts and apps out there that will do the math for you. The screen is nice and clear. I can see the numbers well without digging for my reading glasses every time. This also has a small footprint so it will have room on almost any workbench. The grabber clips it came with are a little underwhelming. They feel a bit cheap and the wires are kind of short so you have to have the part close to the meter. I ended up swapping them for some of my own leads I had lying around and I was much happier. If you just need to know if your parts are working without spending a whole paycheck this one is worth the money. It is not the most professional grade tool but for my needs it works perfectly well and I have a feeling it will do the same for most people.
