I measured my shower drain before purchase. It fits perfectly even though my drain plus the rim is a little less than 3''. I think if you have a outer rim of ABOUT 3'' diameter (less or more), it will be fine. My long hair always always make a mass! This thing has convex surface that the hair will lay around the side, instead of tucking inside the middle which happens on my old bowl shaped stopper. the holes are not super small but stops my hair effectively. So I can finally clean the drain after a shower. Before this I have to clean at least twice during shower. I've been looking for this kind ever since I used a shower at a hotel that has it. I'm very happy that I found it. So many times my hair totally blocked deep inside a host's shower drain just after a few showers, so I highly recommend everyone replace with this kind. And Im seriously considering to bring a set to each house I'm going to stay.

The strainer itself feels pretty solid and the metal construction seems like good quality. It looks clean and should do a good job keeping hair and other debris from going down the drain. My main issue is that it only comes with one screw. I think it would be better if it included two screws, one thin and one thicker, so you can choose the one that works better for your particular tub setup. The included screw may not be ideal for every installation. Overall, the strainer seems well made, but having two different screw options would make it more versatile and easier to install.

This strainer was a perfect fit for the 3" shower drain in a Coachmen Freedom Express Ultra Lite 246RKS. Even the included screw had the same thread. Note: don't expect to last more than 5 years due to the frequent water contact but for the price, I was very glad to find it. Looks like new now.

Product was to replace cover in bathtub. Product is good but needed a thicker screw. Only 1 size screw was provided.
