I see that this drain cover is round so the dimensions given can't be correct. What is the outer diameter measurment?

Mr. P. Gonzales: Mine is installed, so I measured it from the outside, rather than edge to edge inside dimensions before installing. It is 3 inches diameter, and, if it helps, 2" from center screw to center screw. It hooked up nicely to the wire drain plug attachment. All in all, I think it took me about a half hour to do. Would've done it sooner but I had to look for my tools.

Why is this item not returnable?

Who knows why it's not returnable, who cares, maybe because it's so dirt cheap it would cost more to do so, I've had mine a year almost now and works great, what you something for nothing, then want to return it. LOL!
