Great Case But Had an Issue with Mines
I bought this product around January 2019. It is a good case and I loved the part that it made buttons more sensitive such as the Power Button. My Power Button was actually pushed inwards and the case helped me solve the issue and allowed me to use the Power Button with ease. I was immensely pleased until a problem came up a few months after. I did not drop my phone during that time so the phone case's durability had not been compromised, but I noticed the plastic glass in the back started to pop out from the rubber frame (only the sides; the corners are still holding it). It was like the case lost some adhesion trying to hold the glass in place. I'm still using the same case for my Nexus 5 as I am writing this review in April 2020 so the phone case is still living up to its reputation. I have since then dropped my phone at least 12+ times and my phone has survived without any damage even with the defect I described. I am not completely disappointed, but I am upset I received a defective product although it still seemed to do its job lol.

Not perfect, but overall a good choice.
Overall, it's a good choice. I've owned it for a while and used it pretty heavily in lots of real-world applications.PROs:* The case has feels high quality and looks nice.* I really like the clear back on the case. It has gotten some scuff marks, but on the whole, it's nice to be able to see the white back of my Nexus 5.* It actually worked! I dropped it from about 2-3 feet onto a tile floor. The phone landed on its corner. No damage. After other cases which failed on their first drop, I was really relieved. YMMV, of course.* Perfectly level screen-down.CONs:* The case is a little more slippery in my hand than I'd like.* The power and volume buttons, with the case on, become VERY sensitive. You don't need much force to activate either. This is kinda nice when the phone is in your hand, but it's fairly easy to accidentally press the power button when the phone is in your pocket.* A little dirt does, eventually, accumulate underneath the case, and does eventually work its way to the clear back side and become visible. Not a huge distraction, though. Some reviews made it seem worse than it has been for me.* A bit uneven / not-level screen-up.It looks like I have more negatives than positives, but all items are not equal. the biggest issue I have with this case is the sensitivity of the buttons, and the reason I deducted (only) one star.

Good cover (Spigen) for Nexus 5, easy to put on and take off when needed. Nice looks.
This (Spigen for nexus5) is one of the two cases that I can state I like. The other one was for nexus5x (not nexus5), so I will skip the details of it here. The other 2 or 3 I owned were by far worse. So, as one of my favorite ones, I can state it fit my phone perfectly. I did not care much about a little sharp corners, etc. They are not as sharp as I have imagined while reading some other reviews. The buttons are super-sensitive - some say. Well, not sure if they are more sensitive, it is just that if you press the button alone, you know exactly by how much you are pressing and it is something you have a full control over. When you cover a button with a large piece of enclosure, yes - when you press not exactly on the button itself, but just a millimeter off of it - it will still activate. This, however, was what I expected to see anyway, so that did not bother me at all. The dust on the backside (transparent) can collect over time - true, but that time for me was about 1-2 months and it would take literally about 15 seconds to take off the cover, clean and put back - that is it. Nothing unusual, in my humble opinion - just regular maintenance, I would call it. Overall I used it for about 1 year (until upgraded to a different phone which does not work with this cover) and was always pleased with it. I have nothing bad to say about it really.

Great Value, Good product
I give this case five stars on the value aspect alone. You can't beat a decent case for less than $10. However, there are a couple things to be aware of. First, this case almost makes the phone feel "cheap". To me, it adds a considerable amount of bulk. I get the feel of a cheap android knockoff phone, when holding the phone in the case in one hand. To me there is definitely a drastic difference between holding the phone with and without the case. I really don't count this against the case, since that is a tradeoff of a case that will provide ample protection if dropped on a hard surface. Also, before buying I was concerned if this case would provide protection for the protruding camera lens. The clear plastic on the back is thicker and more durable than I imagined. The thickness is adequate and when placing the phone on its back, keeps the phones camera lens from toughing the surface of wherever you place it. My only gripe is with the free screen protector. It only has a cutout for the ear speaker. There are no cutouts for the front camera or the light sensor. I just left the protective film that came on the phones screen in place for now. Keep in mind, the screen protector is a freebie so due to the low cost I won't count this against the case either. Bottom line is this case suit my needs fine until the "official" Nexus 5 cases are made available.

A must have for Nexus 5 owners
This case for the Google Nexus 5 arrived early, and it did not disappoint whatsoever. Fits the phone like a second skin. The edges around the phone are made out of rubbery plastic which stretches just far enough to place the Nexus 5 inside. The volume and the power buttons are covered by this rubbery plastic, but their positions are clearly marked. Usually it takes a bit of effort to activate keys which are hidden behind plastic, but not so with this case. It takes the same little amount of pressure as if there was no case. The only holes are for the headphone socket and the noise cancelling microphone on top of the phone, and the micro USB port and speaker grills on the bottom. And those holes are exactly at the right places. The back of the case is made out of harder plastic, which is clear, so the big nexus logo can be seen (and admired). Again, the hole for the Nexus' main camera is exactly in the right place - you can really see and feel this case has been custom-made for the Nexus 5. The only slight imperfection I can find is that this hard and clear plastic on the back is straight, whilst the phone itself is ever so slightly curved on the edges, so there are some air pockets where dust can enter and settle. Nothing too much to distract from the overall quality casing. And as a little bonus there is also a screen protector in the package. And guess what, that screen protector fits the screen of the Nexus 5 exactly - no gap between the edge of the protector and the edge of the glas front.Overall definitely a 5 star product, which for the money I paid I can very easily recommend.

Solidly built case
I bought the [AIR CUSHION] SPIGEN Google Nexus 5 Case ULTRA HYBRID [Black] version of this case. It came with a screen protector and two case designs to fit in the back.I must have been lucky as mine hasn't scratched my phone in the corners. It is nicely built and the rubber 'air cushion' around the case edge is nice to grip. I found that without the case my Nexus was kind of slippery as it was really thin but this solved that issue for me.My only issue is that it doesn't hug the bottom of the case as tightly so there is a gap where bits of dust and grit can get in. However it's mostly collected between the case design and the transparent back of the case so it hasn't affected my phone.I've used a few other Spigen products and seen friends with other cases made by them and like this one the quality seems to be really good. So I'd definitely purchase another product made by them in the future.

Great for everyday use
I was worried that my sleek new Nexus 5 would get scratched and damaged in the hustle and bustle of being in my bag or briefcase so wanted something that would offer simple protection without taking away from the aesthetics of the phone. After searching high and low for something suitable I saw a thread on a deals site that suggested the Spigen bumper case would be a good everyday solution to my problem. It is certainly a good fit and does the job brilliantly, but if I want a covering for the whole phone it is a little obtrusive and there aren't any socks or slip-on cases that are big enough to accommodate the phone with the bumper on. Maybe I am just being over-cautious about getting it scratched. Overall the case is great and does its job brilliantly, so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent bumper case.

Nice case
This case looks great and feels nice in your hand. The black bumper section has a matt feeling, so is tactile without being rough. Before use you need to remove scratch protective film off the inside and outside of the clear rear portion (not as simple as it sounds). Once this is done the rear of the Nexus is clearly visible, and looks great. The corners have a slightly raised section to ensure that scratching of the rear panel is minimised when laid down (and also fully ensure it does not rest on the lens. Similarly the raised front protects the phone screen.Overall the case smartly compliments the phone. If desired the order came with two card pictures to place in the back to change its look and a screen protector. I havent used either.Only slight negative is removing the film (and it should really tell you to remove it too - I suspect there may be users who didnt realise this need and maybe thinking the rear looks slightly hazy).

Perfect fit for my Nexus 5
Perfect fit for my Nexus 5. The rear window with customisable picture frame is nice but I haven't used it myself. The case is strong, flexible enough for good button use and doesn't really add too much weight or even very much bulk. The scratch-resistant film for the front is also a pretty good fit.If you've invested in a Nexus 5, you should have no concerns about whether your case will make your phone bigger, you should be focusing on keeping this great phone safe and clean. And the Spigen does that.
