GemRed 12" Digital Goniometer 360 Degree Physical Therapy Protractor

Simple goniometers are just too hard to read in my busy clinic. I don't have time to fumble with reading glasses, notes, the patient, and the goniometer all at once. I like the "Hold" function in case I have a question to answer before I can jot down my findings, which happens basically always. I recommend this item.

First time using a digital gonio and I have no clue how to read it. I was taking measurement for a patient's knee flexion and the digital reading was way off. Looking at the display numbers on the ruler had a different read than what was shown on the digital display. Am I missing something, or am I calculating the difference between the two read? Any help would be appreciated.

I bought it to measure flexion in my knee after total knee replacement surgery. I can't find any way to measure flexion. It doesn't do what I wanted at all. I don't know what it measures, but it's not helpful to me at all. I would love to return it, but I lost the box it came in.

I can’t tell you if it works because I can’t get the battery compartment open . It refers to a “tool” to use while pressing the button and pulling it open on both sides. That is one more hand than I have ! Update: They sent a new one, still very difficult to open the battery compartment but I finely got it.

I do QTC physicals which require measurement of pretty much every joint range of motion and my back was killing me every time I did one. This has seriously saved me. I just push hold and pick the thing up rather than bending over to read it. I wish the zero button and the hold button were larger and easier to push but overall this product has been a game changer for me.

I very good and accurate, the buttons are small and hard to press to reset to zero but it's not impossible just fiddly. Other than that it's a great peice of kit and much faster than calculating from a non-digital piece.
