Minka-Aire F844-WH Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan, White with Remote and Additional Wall Control

Modern and effective! This 3 blade fan has easy to assemble instructions so I did it myself and installed myself. I own 3 of them, all in different colors and they powerfully move air even on the lowest setting. They are stylish, the fan blades push lots of air, and the light can be dimmed from very bright to very low. More expensive that you might want to pay for a ceiling fan with light, but they are super QUIET and I have not had any problems after owning my first approximately 3 years ago. The coa wood is amazing looking, the white matches most ceilings, and the silver adds a beautiful contract against a light or white ceiling. When you come to hang it, probably shorten the wires as the full length of the wire allows for flexibility, but stuffing all of that wire into cover can be tricky. Great value for the money.

Install went smoothly, fan is looking Good. Got it with the wall switch and remote. Both controls work flawlessly. The LED light unit gives plenty of light and the dimmer has full range. LED lights have come a long way with the dimmer capabilities. Unit is very quiet. Word of caution, make sure you understand the wiring fully before installing and TURN OFF BREAKER TOTHE CIRCUIT.

Ok, my husband installs my fans and this is at least Minka fan #5 that he has installed. They can be tricky with the fan blade order and the codes for programming so I won't comment on that. I would guess this is not the easiest fan to install for the average skilled person. I have installed ceiling fans myself that were much simpler without a problem. Recommend referring to DIY videos for tips. So, I love Minka fans- I love the styling and features. The wall plate and remote control are superb both nice looking and easy to use. The fan kit even comes with different color face plates-very well thought out and considerate for the end user!

Love the look, and it moves enough air for me on the medium setting. Unfortunately, I cannot use the fan because of the sound it makes. It's a steady tone, like what you would hear from a tuning fork. I am sensitive to noise, so many people would probably tolerate the sound just fine. However, my dog, who sleeps with, ran out of the room when I first turned it on.

So before I start this review I want to warn all that this ceiling fans body shell is made of abs plastic. That did not bother me at all because it makes it light weight and no one is ever going to get on a step ladder to touch and feel it. I installed it in my bedroom because of the downward light beam. My bedroom also has night stand lighting. However if you have a high ceiling this will work well. The fan puts out a good breeze on lowest setting. On high setting the fan is a super cooler. I posted it on Facebook and everyone thinks its the coolest looking ceiling fan ever. MinkAire makes a great quality product and it shows. One suggestion on the installation: make sure that you do not tighten all of the fan screw until the blades are all installed and in place. The way that the blades install is by overlapping each other which is necessary in order to get that retracting wing look. Other than that The install was very clean and quick. I didn't even follow the instructions so that shows you how easy the install is. The one I purchased came with the wall outlet switch and the remote. That works great for us when we enter the room or when laying down in bed. I love it and am very happy with this purchase.

The Minka-Aire F844-WH Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan is the 3rd Minka Fan that I have purchased. The one I replaced started to change speeds on its' own. Time to replace the 1st Minka fan. I installed the new fan in our bedroom. A different Minka model is in the bedroom with a common wall. I was carefully in setting up the remote of the new fan so as not to interfere with the old fan. All was fine until recently - now, each fan changes speeds - on there own. The new fan sounds like it needs an oil change. I bought a different make / model for my TV room and an outside fan for my outside patio for half the price. Both have worked flawlessly. Caveat Emptor .....

I'm a fan of this fan. I love it so much that I bought one for my kitchen and a second one for my dining room. It's so quiet and super modern looking. I never thought a fan with only 3 blades could put out so much air. And the blades are plastic so they are much easier to clean than painted wood. Also it is super white so it matches great with my white ceiling. We got the unit with the in wall control and exclusively use that rather than the hand held remote.

These are beautiful fans. We installed 5 of them in our home. They all look great and are very quiet. We did not originally receive the wall controls (for some odd reason) and contacted the seller. The seller was immediately responsive and sent them out quickly. We are pleased with this purchase & the seller.

We liked the first one so much we bought a second. They look great and blend in well with a white ceiling. Only issue we have had was that we had to change the channels on one as the remotes worked on both.
