## Description

Televue 2.5x Powermate 1.25 inch (1-1/4 in.)

## Features

- Latest Version, Accepts the T-Ring Adapter
- Vignetting, edge field aberrations and pupil movement - all introduced when using Barlows with long focal length eyepieces, are minimized.
- Telecentric operation (field rays leave parallel to optical axis, unlike Barlow lenses which diverge rays). This is ideal for Hydrogen-alpha filter use such as with Daystar models.
- High performance for image amplification, CCD or film (some of the finest Earth-based planetary imaging is being done with Powermates).
- Flexible for visual and imaging with all types of telescopes and eyepieces. Essentially Parfocal, and with nearly constant magnification regardless of image distance behind top surface (except 5x model which increases 1x for every 35mm of image distance i

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this the new version? The product pic shows a previous model with the silver collar tapering into two segments. Wrong pic?**
A: My "older" model doesn't look like this image, not sure what the small lower section of the barrel is all about. The images on the Televue website as well as other vendors show a straight barrel.

**Q: can this be used for a 1.25 focus extension like the tv barolow and other standard barlows when you unscrew the lens at the end?**
A: Yes, I believe so.

**Q: Can these be used with zoom or wide field eyepieces (e.g. pentax smc zoom or pentax xw)?**
A: Yes, this can be used with any 1.25" eyepiece. I have a Baader zoom that works just fine with this.

**Q: Does it accept as t ring adapter to connect your dslr camera with???**
A: There is a Televue T-ring adapter for this lens. I just purchased one and received it today (Sept. 13 '22). This is a fairly specialized item, so Amazon might not sell it. However, it's available from the usual astronomy specialty stores, such as Agena Astro Products.
