I had a plank of wood that I converted to a big chopping board. This was the perfect way to treat it and bring in the shine and it shows the grains of the wood too. Smells for sure but its fine after sometime.

High quality and thick, good for old gunstocks
This stuff seems like the real deal. It is much thicker than the BLO you will find at the hardware store, and doesn't have the strange metallic smell that other brands have due to hardener additives (though it has its own "nutty" smell that goes away as it dries). It appears to just be linseed oil boiled down to a honey-like consistency.This is just what you need to re-finish old surplus rifle stocks and have them look original. Apply once a day for about 2-3 days and then make sure to leave a couple of weeks for it to completely dry.
