My 99 suburban 6.5 diesel started randomly shutting down while driving or in traffic so I suspected it was the PMD. Sure enough truck runs well now so surging or shutting off. Going to buy a spare to keep on hand.

I have put 2 of these on in less than 5k miles and I need another. They don’t last

Works great until 6 to 8 months second pmd in 2 years . Keep two mount so I can pull over and just plug in back up , then week later plug back and it worked for another few more months ??? 6.5 k2500 305, 000

It showed up on time and it works as it should! If you have the black PMD you will need to cut the ears off the plug

I had my mechanic replace a bad PMD...he apparently purchased a cheap version on here because 3 weeks after that the PMD died again, (it was mounted on the grill outside the engine compartment). After putting this on my hummer started right up and was fine. Just make sure you also buy the appropriate harness, which is also here in amazon.(Update) purchased this in Oct 2022, it's now May 2024, it lasted 1 summer. As soon as it started warming back up again here in texas, it started failing. Pretty disappointing. Tried to replace with an oem from autozone, which didn't work, so I guess I will have to order one of these again and just hope it lasts longer.
