Review: Perfect for travel - I've had this travel pillow for plane trips for over ten years and I just bought a new replacement (not because there's actually anything wrong with the old one but just because the carry case was getting too worn out! I'm afraid the strap is going to break and the pillow will go rolling away somewhere). The old pillow itself is still going strong, although you cannot compare the firmness of the old and the new one I just received - the new one is very firm and the old one is very soft. I'm not sure which I prefer yet as I haven't used the new on on a plane yet so looking forward to breaking it in soon. My pictures show the original full size (maroon) and this travel size (gray). I’d say it’s about 60% of the original’s size. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. Composition-wise, it is exactly the same material and shape. Just not as wide. I was a little worried that my head would squish the edges and it wouldn’t be supportive in the same way but nope! It is GREAT. I can’t tell the difference when I’m lying on it. I slept the same, there were no issues or noticeable differences for actual use. I am so used to the support of the original tempurpedic pillow, I have taken the whole big thing with me on vacations, but now I can take this smaller one and save a ton of space, and not have to worry about lousy hotel pillows affecting my sleep and energy.
