Nominated as one of Americaโs best-loved novels by PBSโs The Great American ReadEdith Grossman's definitive English translation of the Spanish masterpiece, in an expanded P.S. editionWidely regarded as one of the funniest and most tragic books ever written, Don Quixote chronicles the adventures of the self-created knight-errant Don Quixote of La Mancha and his faithful squire, Sancho Panza, as they travel through sixteenth-century Spain. You haven't experienced Don Quixote in English until you've read this masterful translation. This P.S. edition features an extra 16 pages of insights into the book, including author interviews, recommended reading, and more. Review: And excellent translation by Edith Grossmann and an incredible introduction by Harold Bloom - In his breathtaking introduction of this book, Harold Bloom compared Cervantes with shakespeare and Don Quixote with Hamlet and described Captain Ahab of Moby Dick as a blend of Don Quixote and Hamlet with a touch of Milton's Satan added for seasoning. An incredible introduction by such a great critic. While reading the prologue of the novel I felt quite hypnotized, especially when Cervantes introduced his fictional friend to receive cynical workarounds to fake erudition. Edith Grossmann's translation is excellent. Bloom wrote in the introduction 'Grossmann might be called the Glenn Gould of translators'. I am still reading the part one of this magnum opus of Cervantes. And enjoying it thoroughly. Review: On Physical quality of the book. - Cocoblu retail is yet to disappoint me, after receiving a damaged book from the previous seller. This is the ultimate english translation. Readability - 5/5 Page quality - 5/5 Print length - tis Cervantes !!!

Easy to read translation
I bought it to prepare myself before reading it in original Spanish. And it was a good choice; easy to read text and as always Vintage print quality is very good. Fair price.

Love Don Qixote and Sancho
What can I say about a witty, sad, clever book that covers pathos, joy, fun, sadness, sanity or not, and more as well as having the accolade of being considered the first ever modern novel. First published in 1605 and still being bought and enjoyed by many today. A story that has been told to children since almost forever. We have all heard of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza and if not why not?
