The gas filters are a bit larger then I'd like, but should adequately remove any silt and rust from the 48 year old gas tanks. I like the fact that it has magnets installed to catch metal rust particles from the tank. The black hose size is close to the original OEM size and is stamped "fuel hose" along its length. Time will tell if that is a fallacy or not. The provided fuel line clamps are sized well and adaquate for the task as well as easier to slide up with pliers. Lto see how well they perform.looking forward to trying them out. I had the smaller tear-drop shaped (bought very, very inexpensively) filters and after awhile, the gas (perhaps most likely the ethanol we are forced to use that no one wants) is the culprit for dissolving the glue on the filter seams letting them open and seperate during use. I hope to follow up later to see if these filters suffer the same fate.
