The entire construction feels flimsy and cheap. The plates are extremely thin, light weight, and not very deep. While it may be fine for occasional weekend uses, I don't see it holding up long if used on a regular basis. The inside of the maker also had discoloration. Almost like it had been used before. However, the removeable plates would make clean up much easier than traditional waffle/chaffle makers.
