GlockTech MIC Holster Compatible with Glock 42

Excellent product! Stays well secured when it's supposed to but detaches readily when gun is drawn. Works great on bare gun with Clipdraw for ultra slim carry package.

Trigger holsters made of kydex have been around for a few years now and the concept of having some kind of minimal holster is a no-brainer for safe carry. There's a lot of trigger holsters out there and I've had several and most are either too tight or too loose and rattle. I bought two Mic holsters; one for a G42 and another for a G19. They both work great. If you buy one, watch the short YouTube video by the maker so you know exactly how to snap this rig on and pop it off safely.

I bought this trigger guard as a sort of stand by until my fiance' decided on a concealed carry holster for her Glock 42. This is a great, safe, device if you're going to plop the weapon into a purse or pocket. Very firm fit and no way it could accidentally come off. She found little utility in the lanyard, because there was basically nothing to attach it to in her purse. But, it did allow rapid removal by hand. With a little practice, she was able to strip it while retaining a good grip very quickly. Works fine in the front or back jeans pocket, too. Though I wish it extended back some to cover the magazine release (so as to prevent accidental magazine drop if you sit on it).

The holster holds the weapon very well by using the space inside of the trigger guard. The Kydex retains its shape when you pull the weapon out and gives a loud and positive snap when you push it back in. The string can be tied in a loop and a belt should be fed through it (no belt loops). If you want, a shirt can be tucked in. Appendix carry is best for this since when sitting the weapon moves around and becomes hard to re-adjust without drawing attention in other areas (3, 4 O'Clock, and small of back). In a pocket the thing looks like a giant letter "L"--the choice is yours. The MIC can also be mounted anywhere with a little extra hardware or sewing. If you want to mount it in a backpack or in a center console/glove box, it can be done.I held back one star because the because the pictures are not what was sent. The holster I have stops at the grip like the one shown but comes up over the frame and covers the weapon all of the way up to the slide. Also, the point where the lanyard is connected isn't pointed--it's flat. The point helps with stripping off the holster if it is in a pocket or bag.Buy the thing, it's a good cheap low profile purchase.

This completely revolutionised the way I carry! Because of the nature of it , carrying in condition 1 is much safer as the trigger is 100% enclosed and carring IWB or pocket carry makes it very easy to put on or remove. Give it a try I think you might like it as well.

Waste of money

looks and works just as described. snaps on trigger guard securely and solidly. Fits trigger guard properly. releases with just the right amount of resistance to make it hard to accidentally release it but not too hard that it wont let go when you need it too! Adds significant safety factor to GLock firearm. Other sizes are made for other model Glocks and are a real safety enhancer.

Don't leave it in your truck!
