The Choice: A Surprising New Message of Hope

Og Mandino does it again. It has been a while since reading my last book of his. This book, “The Choice”, does not disappoint. This was hard to put down and I read it in two days. What a story!! The underlying message is simple and is delivered in the book in the most powerful way. Seeing the main character live out this message of choice over and over again in the pages of the book and watching his life change provides a beautiful feeling of belief in self. I adored the book and I know that you will, too.

This is the 2nd book I've read by this author, and I've been greatly inspired by both. Mr. Mandino is an amazing writer! He's able to weave important insights throughout his fictional tales, and keeps the reader on their toes - not wanting to the put the book down until it's finished. The overall gist of this book is that we all have choices re: what we do, how we do it, and how we react to the circumstances we find ourselves in - and it's these choices (sometimes seemingly mudane) that determine the life we live today, as well as our potential future. This seems to be a concept that many of us have forgotten - we do, in fact, have choices! It's up to us to choose wisely, and to correct the choices we're not happy with. But, either way, we must take responsibility for whatever our choices are - and where they lead us. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in changing any part of their life, as well as those trying to help others to understand the impact of their choices - this book provides a wonderful story to share with those who are currently struggling.

A very good book and really worth reading for everyone. It's very easy to read and a book that can make me get lost of time when I read it.

Excellent motivational thriller, this is a very well written book with a smooth flow and gripping storyline that delivers big time on personal improvement. No criticisms to offer on this one. It is one of the best books I have read this year. The storyline, the twists and turns and the motivational nuggets interspersed throughout the book make this book required reading for those looking for self motivation material that does not read like a transcribed college lecture. It was hard to put this book down.

Og Mandino's sytle is easy to read and easy to grasp. He is understated and yet the message is profound. He doesn't cram the message to the reader, but takes them on a journey and let's the reader figure it out along the way. Looking for an easy to understand yet life changing message? Get this and ENJOY!

I almost stopped reading this book because I was looking for a guide rather than a story. However, the summary of the story is a guide - a guide to a shift in perspective. Life can be a monotonous, constant struggle in the eyes of one and a gift with endless possibilities to another. Each individual is given the opportunity of life, but what they make of it is a matter of perspective. I'm glad I gave this book the chance it deserves

I would simply like to say that this is one of the most uplifting books that I've ever read. If ever, you feel down and out, read this or any of Og Mandino books. You'll never feel the same way again. Sadly, Mr. Mandino left this world far too early. More than any other author I've ever read; he had the unique gift of providing enlightenment and self-help through the use of parables that are second to none. It would be impossible not to read one of his books and end up feeling a whole lot better about your circumstances. This particular book clearly shows that we all have choices; we just have to choose the right path. Og Mandino was a one of a kind author, the likes of which we'll never see again.

Great entertaining book and moving. I first read The Greatest Salesman and now I'm reading Og's other books. Can't believe I'd never heard of him since I've been reading and acting on info like this for decades. Would highly recommend this if you want no nonsense principles to give you the right mindset for success. Whatever that means to you.

I'm a huge fan of Mr Og and will always be. His insights for a better life now are shunned and replaced by a cancel culture. Without writings such as these I'm afraid the world is in for more than we ever bargained for.
