I recently purchased the Ascher LED Edison Bulbs (6W), and I’m absolutely thrilled with them! These bulbs are not only visually stunning but also incredibly functional. No More Flickering!
The media could not be loaded. Do not flicker! It’s been a journey to figure out why the lights in our bathroom were flickering. After much research and some electrical troubleshooting I suspected that it was due to the led lightbulbs. Apparently, this is a pretty common issue due to the drivers in them. My house was built in 1967 and it has the original wiring (not knob and tube). I thought it might be a problem with a circuit, a bad neutral connection, or the service feed from the power company. One thing to note is the whole house doesn’t flicker, only the bathroom lights and only when the washer agitates. There are whole websites dedicated to providing people with flicker free bulb options. I tried multiple bulbs suggested on those sites with no luck. I’ve tried multiple Phillips bulbs that are advertised as flicker free, Sylvania, and GE. None worked for me. Luckily I was able to return them. I finally gave up and just ordered these because they were inexpensive compared to the others I had tried. I didn’t expect anything from these in terms of not flickering. I was actually going to call my power company to check the service lines but lo and behold no more flickering!
