A Great Read!
I had thought this was a collection of poetry. It's a mixture of different kinds of writing. Very interesting and intriguing! I read what I could of it, then donated it to the local library. I can't fault either this item or its seller. Thanks!

Really nice, good quality book, for nature lovers.
Bought for my father who loves nice books and long dog walks. I love this book, and am now jealous of it. It is split by tree - oak, ash etc, and then tells you all about those trees fact, myth, and legend. The pictures are lovely and the book is very good quality. Perfect present!

Delightful from start to end
This book talks about trees from so many different perspectives - botanical, conservation, harvesting and effective usage of wood, histories and myths. The drawings are exquisitely produced, even through the medium of e-book. Wish there were more like this!

fixated with art?
Max Adams wildly inaccurate perceptions of cultural issues are very, very irritating, like so many science based sorts. However his perception of plants seem second to none, in this beautiful book. Posted by a culture loving Christian

Magical miscellany
What a wonderful read! A love story without sentimentality, a compendium of fascinating facts and myths. I was reluctant to keep reading less I came to the end, but found it hard to put down.

Beautiful Book
If anyone had told me that i'd enjoy a book about trees this much, i'd have rolled my eyes and sighed in a disgruntled fashion. But it is a very good book. Couldn't put it down and enjoyed learning so much about the history and ecology of Britain's wonderful woodland. After finishing the book, i now dream of owning my own little patch of woodland.

Beautiful book
A beautiful book which can be dipped into at any chapter. If you didnโt love trees before reading this book you will after. Well written with memorable stories that will stay with you. Stunning line illustrations. Would recommend this book for long winter evenings to bring comfort and joy.

Bought as a pressie, but had a sneaky peak first. A lovely book you can dip in and out of, learning along the way. I think I will be buying another copy to keep at home.

This is a super book for all lovers of trees - thoughtful
This is a super book for all lovers of trees - thoughtful, well researched and beautifully written. The only slight negative is Max Adams silly need to share his political opinions that are utterly irrelevant to the discussion - put that aside and enjoy this lovely book.

It was ripped..
I bought this as a gift & the front of the book sleeve was ripped. It was loose in the box when it came without any covering to keep it from being ruined in a box with other items. The book itself is nice but very small, good content though.
