Takes Muscle Work but gets Good results
Good Product. It takes a different approach depending on damage and wood type.Do not expect a bit of rubbing to work. It takes a terry cloth, muscle power and eventual result. I'm satisfied with this table top saver.

This stuff is AMAZING! Super easy and great results!!!
My cupboards were so nasty I didn't think there was any choice except to replace them. I remembered hearing about Restor-A-Finish and for the inexpensive price, decided to give it a try. This stuff is AMAZING!!! It far exceeded my expectations! It is very easy to use and a little goes a long way. I started by washing my cupboards down, then used a rag to apply the Restor. It does its magic instantly. Then I used a second rag to wipe it off and my cupboards look almost like new again! There are some small spots from years of wear that didn't completely disappear, but these cupboards are over 50 years old! So then I started looking around for other things to try this on and I got beautiful results on them as well. I'm more than happy with the results and actually stunned that it works so well. Save yourself a ton of money by trying this stuff out before you decide your cupboards are too messed up to save. Great Product!

I use this for restoration, but beware of the smell!
My dad introduced me to this product about 25 years ago. However, I do not use it alone, it just does not last. If not stripping down to bare wood it is a time saver though. I only use it on old shellac finishes. Here is what I do:1) Wipe down the furniture or woodwork with denatured alcohol on a lint free cloth. This will remove some imbedded dirt.2) Go over surface lightly with a GRAY abrasive pad. Wipe down.3) Use the Furniture Refinisher on the scuffed shellac surface. This will even out the color and hide minor imperfections. Let it sit about two hours, then wipe down. Let it set another two hours and wipe down. Let it sit overnight and wipe down again. Let it sit another couple hours. While using this product I STRONGLY encourage you to ventilate the area or do it outside, the fumes are nasty.4) Start the orange shellac finish. Give it two coats, let dry overnight. LIGHTLY sand with 400 or 600 wet or dry sandpaper. Wipe down with a tack cloth. Give it one or two more coats of shellac. If you still have dull spots give it more coats until no longer dull when dry. Remember this is restoration not refinishing, you are still going to see some alligatoring and defects present in the original finish.5) Let cure 14 to 30 days. After that you can rub out with 0000 steel wool and paste wax if you want. The photos are of the linen press I am currently restoring.Remember, putting polyurethane on an antique is the fastest way to destroy its value!

Magical
I should have taken before pictures but my cabinets were extremely scratched up by my dog. I tried using the feed-n-wax first only cause that’s what got delivered first… worked alright - but the restor n finish literally covered everything. I never write amazon reviews good or bad, but this one was legitimately so good.
