Outstanding product for dental care
You can floss if you'd like, or you could use the BrushPicks. The picks have a pointed end for regular picking. This end is nicely designed with a triangular shape to best fit between the bottom of your dentition, none of that round or flat wooden toothpick design. But the crowning achievement of these picks is the brush end. Insert it between teeth and rotate it as you move back and forth. I have yet to find anything that the brush can't dislodge (although if the material is really wedged between the teeth, I would suggest with an initial displacement using the pointed end followed by using the brush end). Personally, I use one pick for the top (maxillary) and one for the bottom (mandibular) dentition after every meal. The only suggestion is not to overdo it with the brush end as in rare situations it has broken off, but this was because of my over-zealousness using it and lack of consideration. If this happens, just use another one to dislodge the broken brush end. I love these and carry them with me everywhere I go.

THE Superior Toothpick!
When I ordered these, I thought they were nylon bristle brushes on one end. They are not! They are a flat bristle molded as part of the toothpick. So much the better! I wondered how they could be so cheap. They are simply molded plastic toothpicks with tiny flexible tines on the other end. Oh, and the pick side has a few small ridges on the flattened sides, for clearing plaque. Let me tell you: THEY ARE AWESOME!!! My wife and kids thought I was crazy when I started to rave about these things. They are perfect for anyone who maintains some pretty regular oral hygiene. You can get out the toughest of food particles or stringy fibers! OK, it's true. The toothpick end is knife-shaped: sharp at the point and pretty rigid. But, I think that is one the best features! This shape allows you to insert the pick into the gaps of teeth, right at the gum line, and clean both teeth with a few passes, in & out. The fact that the pick is knife-thin on one side, allows it to fit in the gaps between closely spaced teeth. Use the thick side up on the top teeth, then thick side down on the bottom teeth. If you use them this way, they are quite comfortable - DAY 1! The pick alone will dislodge most food particles. The brush on the other end is molded onto a thin rod that fits into even tighter spaces that the pick side. The brush can then be manipulated as needed to get even the most stubborn food particles dislodged. I often spin the whole pick/brush to allow the brush side to do its thing. My father was a big toothpick guy, the wooden kind, but I could never get get them to work for me. They didn't fit between my teeth. I could never direct the point to the right place to get the food out. I NOW KNOW THE GLORY OF USING A GOOD TOOTHPICK!! I have never used a better device for cleaning between my teeth - PERIOD!! BUY 'EM! USE 'EM!! You'll love 'em!!!

Best non-metal stiff pick I have tried
I love these and I don't love them. They get into tight spaces quite well. And, they are stiff and so reusable if you want to conserve and not toss them into the landfill after every use (I use hydrogen peroxide after a use). I like that you can use both ends of them. And, there is no metal that I can tell, which is a plus for me. They remove all the debris in between my tight teeth. So, why don't I love them? They are VERY stiff. Sometimes this is a bit too stiff and it can be a bit painful. . I love the softer plastic ones that do not hurt, but have to work harder to get out the food bits and then they break. Seems if these were less stiff, they likely wouldn't work as well...must be a necessary evil :-)

Very good product
I've been purchasing them locally for years and now my local store no longer has them so I had to go to Amazon to make a purchase. They were also cheaper per pack through Amazon than buying single packs locally.

Cost of product and ease of use.
Doctor's toothpicks have two sides, one side with small brush and other side like a wooden toothpick. I find they work better than more expensive toothpicks with brush-end. Easy to use and decent price.

Great value picks.
Good quality picks. Thin with great brush and sharp point. Buying in bulk is the way to go if you use them a lot.
