Q: missing the measuring cup- the recipe book only references the lines on the cup, anyone help on using a standard measuring cup?

Hi Brian,I measured, and here is what I came up with for both EGG and WATER:1lb EGG: slightly less than 8oz, or 212 ml.1 1/2 EGG: 11oz or 325ml.2 lb EGG: 14oz or 400ml1 lb WATER: 5 3/4 oz or 160ml1 1/2 lb WATER: 9oz or 250ml2 lb WATER: 10oz or 285ml.You always have to adjust by adding flour or water to get the walnut sized dough ball so these values should get you baking.

Q: I never got a book with this pasta maker and don not know how to disassemble it to clean how does the bowl come out

after removal of all the obvious parts, the bowl requires a firm twist/pull motion to suucceed.

Q: Can we use a higher gluten flour for a more traditional pasta recipe?

Q: Is it fully automatic ?

Not quite fully automatic. Once it's done kneading the dough you must remove the dough block slide. Then you have to cut the pasta to the desired length as it's extruded. This machine works VERY well!
