Great for being stainless

These are very sturdy stainless steel inserts. The thread engagement is more than 1 dia. The dimensions are spot on for the pre drill and grip range. One word of caution though. Buy the tool for doing the install. I was able to install with the "YouTube" DIY tool but they are not east. I broke or bent screws each time I installed one. Harbor Freight has three different levels of tool for the job.If you do try to install with a home built tool, make sure to use a coupling nut as your driver and a high strength bolt for your threaded rod. Cheep ungraded or stainless fasteners will bend, stretch, or shear.

These 1/4 inch stainless steel rivet nuts that came in the single 30 piece bag are nice and feel solid. I also purchased the box of assorted Stainless Steel Rivet Nuts in 5 Sizes 8-32, 10-24, 1/4"-20, 5/16"-18, 3/8"-16. The cheap plastic box came broken with numerous pieces rolling around in the shipping bag.

Can’t wait to try them.

Good solid product at a fraction of the price found in the local hardware. Still had an issue with some spinning in the body of the Jeep, made it work. WILL fit the stock body holes for fenders for a Jeep JK

Used to blind fasten deck stair post (inner in rivet nuts and outer bolts through angle iron with traditional fastenening). Worked great and post solid as a rock.

My husband was very happy. He needed the stainless steel for an outside project where we get lots of rain. Building a roof over the BBQ deck.
