The rubber bristles are too soft to do much good. My husband told me to go ahead and try it. I tried it on carpet to pick up cat hair.. it didn't work. I tried it on tile, just pushed the hair around. I tried to sweep the garage floor with it, had to go back over it with broom. I tried cleaning my grout with it, too soft. I brushed the couch where the cat likes to sleep, did not pick up hair, did not cause static like it said.
