Does this indicate that the trim ring & therefore the microwave itself sets out 3.5" from face of cabinet?** A: No. The dimension is the width of the trim ring. **Q: My husband just installed this unit in our RV and we can't even set the clock. Does something special need to be done the first time?** A: We just plugged it in and set it as you normally would. **Q: Is there a reset on my 912B?** A: I am not aware of a reset. There is a Clear function on the panel. I would unplug the device to accomplish a 'reset'. **Q: Can this be mounted with out the trim kit?** A: Greg is right. Without the trim kit, it would just be sitting on a shelf. Kit came with it. Don't know why you would not use it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... a drop in replacement and as expected it fit easily and perfectly - function is again as expected - ... *by K***R on March 23, 2017* It was a drop in replacement and as expected it fit easily and perfectly - function is again as expected - all the features work as advertised. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It Works *by P***C on November 7, 2020* This is the exact make and model of the Microwave I replaced. It is in a travel trailer. The old one lasted 6 years. The fit and ease of installation was because I didn't try and change size, shape or specs which would have needed a modification of the cabinet. It works. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good replacement. *by A***R on June 24, 2018* Nice product and best price I found. Perfect fit for that which I replaced. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/8416482-advent-mw912b-black-built-in-microwave-oven-without-trim-kit](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/8416482-advent-mw912b-black-built-in-microwave-oven-without-trim-kit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
