Take As Gifts

#1: the beanie kept my bald head warm in 25 degree weather, so it gets a 5/5 for warmth. Pretty comfortable overall. I notice the speakers at first, but that fades quickly. 4/5 for comfort overall. #2: the sound coming out of the little speakers is surprisingly good. Bass is ok, not great, treble is nice and clear. I’m not an audiophile, but the sound is pretty good for audiobooks/podcasts AND music. I’m pretty lenient on sound, but the speakers on this beanie are better than many of the el cheapo wireless earbuds sold here on Amazon. Its not Bose or Sennheiser, but they do sound pretty good to me. Half volume is good enough for me. Sound is 4/5 (which is a pleasant surprise to me). #3: Looks. Ok, I’m old and ugly, so things will only look so good on me. This is probably not the best looking beanie in the world, but I’m officially old enough to not care anymore. The utility value of this hat is of higher value to me than the fashion sense of it. I’ve included pics to help you judge that for yourself lol. The company gets credit for the speakers not being obvious though. No big speaker bulge and nice choice putting the control buttons into a faux leather patch. Nicely done. 4/5 for looks overall. Overall, despite my individual scores, I’m giving this thing a 5/5. It’s a niche product, I know. But, hey, you get a warm and comfortable winter hat, along with some pretty good sounding speakers for the price of $30. That’s ain’t too bad. I think this is one of those weird hybrid of products that would make a great gift for someone.

I work in a warehouse for 12 hours a day. To maintain some level of sanity, most people sneak a headphone in. It's technically against the rules, and could get you written up. But, I get it. Out of fear of being to obvious, i decided to buy one of these since its not too expensive. It fit nice and snug, the Bluetooth lasts for about 16 hours on max charge, it charges quickly, and gets a surprisingly loud, and clean sound. I carved off the small leather "control panel" with a pair of scissors. It leaves a small hole that can easily be blended with a piece of electrical tape to cover the blue light that indicates when the speakers are active. The buttons can easily be felt even without the leather bit there. 2 years on, and still no one asks about my everyday "beanie" I wear.

I love this hat. Looks great, fits well, pairs easily with my device(s), and the sound is really good. Docking it one star for the micro USB charging port. It's 2026- who still uses micro USB?

TLDR; What you see and read in the description is exactly what you are buying: A simple beanie with pretty good speakers. Some improvements can be made on the product but it is a solid 4.5/5 for what I thought I was buying. My TLDR above pretty much hits what I’ll go in a bit more in depth here below. Pros: Hat quality: First the quality of the hat is decent. Is it double layered of typical beanie materials. The improvement on here I would think should be a different material on the inside of the beanie. Or an extra layer of something stretchy on the base. This just to help keep someone’s head or ears warm even better since it’s just normal beanie material. Speakers/sound: The sound is surprisingly good. Of course not Bose or high end headphones quality, but the sound is not something that I will complain about. They did their job right a pretty well. Bluetooth connection: This is honestly where I was blown away I don’t know if maybe I lucked out and got a good Bluetooth chip or if they are all like this but my beanie has a range of 20ft with about 3 walls in between the beanie and my phone. And although I don’t see myself getting in a situation where I need that kind of range, it is cool to think that I could still be that far and still listen to music. Cons: These are more annoyances, nothing terribly wrong with the product I received at all. The main speaker that is in the box with the battery and the chip is a bit clunky and I can feel it put more pressure on my ear than with the right speaker. But that is something to be expected considering what all is in the box. But I’m sure as technology improves, this will be less of an issue. The right speaker sometimes slides out of the pocket where it is held and looking for it and putting it back is a little annoying. Can be fixed my sewing just a bit down so the speaker doesn’t slide out as much. This is a small nitpick but the hat I got came with a brown square instead of a rectangle for the control panel, I would have preferred the rectangle for aesthetic reasons but it’s fine. Overall a decent product at a good price. It is definitely something I will use a lot of in the coming cold months. Until I probably accidentally wash the beaning without taking out the speakers.

I. Love. This. I bought it because it was on Black Friday sale at a really good price. Figured I’d give it away if I didn’t like it. (It’s not going anywhere.) The cap itself is warm and cozy, fitting nicely around the ears but with plenty of looseness around the crown of my head. Worth it just for head warmth on a cold day. The speakers are remarkable for such a low price. I like the over-ear approach rather than in-ear buds. It allows me to still easily hear and engage with my environment if I want to, or tune it out if I choose. Crisp clear highs and palpable lows… pretty impressive for twenty bucks. BT pairing was beautifully simple— maybe 7-8 seconds from “search devices” to paired and operating. I can set my phone down and travel a couple of rooms (and several walls) away without losing signal. I charge it nightly and use it for maybe 2-3 hours a day. Haven’t had any battery shortage with that level of use. Bought it for the low price as an experiment. I’d pay full price now that I’ve tried it. Since I’ve only had it for a week I don’t know how long it will work. If I think it stops working too soon I’ll make an edit to this review. But so far, I’m both thumbs way up! _________ A few months into it now. Still love it. The only problem: I wish there was a hot weather alternative. Winter is over and it will be too hot to wear much longer. Sad…

Works but a little Loud. Soft and comfy. Size is true to fit. Stretches a little and color was same as pictured

The cap I used for many years was getting a bit worn – and it didn’t play music – so I decided to replace it and found this hat on Amazon. I like the ‘wool cap’ style and this hat is certainly that. I figured the Bluetooth capability was a plus, so I got it for only a bit more than a cap without any of that. I received it promptly and inspected it while charging. It appears well made and the fabric feels sturdy and light. The one I got is all black with a small leather-like patch on one side to show various controls and designate proper side. There is a small cutout in the underside for snaking the charging cable (included), and there is also a small area left open to remove the speakers so that the cap can be washed. Bluetooth connection is easy and straightforward – there is a small set of instructions in English to show how to connect/disconnect the Bluetooth. The instructions also clearly illustrate how to use the various controls after connecting with your device. Speaker sound quality is pretty good for such small items, and I had no issue with clarity or volume. As with any speakers or headphones so close to your ears, please be careful not to raise the volume to high. Call quality was good, and the instructions show how to handle incoming calls. The microphone was clear, but it wasn’t as good as a boom mic-style. For the cost though, this was fine. Battery life was ok – again, in a device this size you can’t expect miracles – better than I expected and well able to handle prolonged playing. Be aware that estimates of battery life are always going to depend on what is being played and at what volume. In short, I ordered this originally because I thought it was kind of neat and figured even if I found I didn't use the music part much - I still have a cool hat. I can happily say that it has really changed the way I use my phone. Having the hat keyed to my phone makes listening to music and podcasts so much easier.
