The panels were cracked in multiple places and two mounting points were broken off where swell latches hold the panels onto the RV. The sheets were textured on one side, but the texture did not match the RV panel texture. ABS can be dissolved in acetone to create plastic glue. The ratio of ABS product to acetone determines how thin or thick the dissolved ABS will be. I made my two batches to be a little thicker than Hershey's chocolate syrup - so it could be brushed on. The cracked areas were treated to three applications on the inside. The missing swell latch mounting points were a combination of small sheet pieces cut to fill in the area with multiple applications of plastic glue. After all the repairs a fresh coat of good quality spray paint made the panels look new again. Note: the swell latches are available from Southco, which is the original supplier to Forest River, at the best price anywhere. Review: Worked great with original project; the remainder will no doubt find a variety of uses. - Bought these with an eye toward cutting and punching them to see as spacers behind my video stand, as there's so much space with the glass shelf holders have too much space. I have already done this with the matching stereo tower and the spaces have shrunk to the point where it's a breeze to slide in the shelves and tighten down. It's a tedious process. The ABS material is stiff and tough. However, the labor has paid off very nicely. Have a sheet or two or three around might come in handy in any number of purposes. UPDATE: Still cutting from first sheet. Using it to fashion spacers to fill gaps between deck railing connectors and two by fours that I managed to cut just under an eight of an inch short. A spacer at each end solved the problem. I made a mud flap for my Harley Davidson. Gave it a vintage look. I used a heat gun (a hair dyer will work too) to soften it and cut it with an Exacto-knife. Suggest you make a paper template first and tape it to the ABS sheet and a cut-guide. **Q: How many sheets are in an order?** A: Only one. You will receive a sheet 12 X 12 X 1/16. **Q: Looking for something I can mix bondo on that will flex enough to pop the unused bondo off to use again will this work?** A: Yes it should work ok for that - but I would use the smooth side of the panel to ensure the Bondo does not get stuck in the textured side.. **Q: is 1/16 thick enough if my opening 10" x 4" and I have 5 ports and switches I'm pushing on?** A: Probably not if it is only supported along the edges. This thin ABS is not a rigid product. You may want to choose a different material (i.e. plexiglass, aluminum, steel, plywood) and a thickness that gives you the support you need. While 1/16-in steel may work, you will likely need something a bit thicker for other materials. However, if the circumference of the 10x4 ABS plastic panel is tightly held along the four edges, and if you are not pushing too hard or too often when plugging into ports and turning switches, it may be workable. You could also gain the support you need by reinforcing the the opening under the plastic panel, or the backside of the panel with steel or aluminum sheet metal, or plexiglass. Expanded metal sheets as found in hardware stores may also work. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is real ABS *by D***Y on May 31, 2022* I used these sheets to repair the front panels on a 2016 Forest River Work and Play toy hauler. I have already done this with the matching stereo tower and the spaces have shrunk to the point where it's a breeze to slide in the shelves and tighten down. It's a tedious process. Love this stuff! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not quite 12x12, but otherwise great project piece *by T***N on January 8, 2020* This is a high quality ABS sheet and I am very happy with it. Being only 1/16th thick, it has a bit of flex to it which is just what I needed for one are of my project. I also used a 1/8th thick sheet in other areas where I did not want the flex. Beware however that the panel I received was slightly under 12 inches. This was not an issue for me, but if you need the full 12 inches for whatever you are working on, you may need to buy a size up or look for a different brand. ## Frequently Bought Together - Install Bay ABS116 ABS Universal 12 X 12 X 1/16-Inch Each - Skar Audio 4 Gauge OFC Complete Amplifier Installation Wiring Kit, SKAR4ANL-OFC - Metra MC918-20 20-Feet Nine-Conductor 18 AWG Twisted Multi-Use --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/8420437-abs116-abs-universal-12-x-12-x-1-16-inch](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/8420437-abs116-abs-universal-12-x-12-x-1-16-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
