You need this in your life!
I love this product. I was blown away at the results of my brass, when the price of the unit is very competitive. It took about 1.5 - 2 hours of tumbling but it was worth it. It does appear to tumble toward one side but it finally found a resting place on one of my bench's legs and hasn't moved since. It sucks that there is no on and off switch on the assembly, only a power cord. So I have to reach behind the table to pull out the cord from my mounted power strip. Almost non audible. Had it running in the garage while I was in the kitchen (one door between the two) and I could barely, barely hear. I actually had to listen for it. Left brass was fired and cleaned, middle brass was fired and not cleaned, right was a new round fesh out of a manufacturer's box! The picture doesn't lie! You need this in your life.

Works Great and not as loud as I expected
The Pro Sifter is a nice mid-sized option for cleaning brass. Not the largest but it works for its size range. The top is convenient, I turn it over into a bucket that I use to store my media in between cleanings and while it is still usable. Then I remove the top use a cheap kitchen strainer to poor my brass into (still pouring into the bucket). Some, if not all brass is going to have a small amount of media inside regardless of this top sifter style, a drain plug on the bowel, or a separate media separator. I then turn over each piece of brass in the strainer to ensure I am removing all the media and collecting as much as possible for re-use. So far I have not had it walk off my work bench but have started using it on the floor to free up work area space during the cleaning process.

Works as advertised
This machine cleans 200 9mm cases in 2 hours. There is some noise that some people would find objectionable but is not that bad. Other reviews stated a dust problem. I have not had that issue. If one does, place Saran wrap over the top ports Only. Do not cover the whole machine as it will heat up and shorten the life of the tumbler. I have had the tumbler for six weeks and have cleaned approximately 3000 casings with no problems Tip: Place the tumbler on a timer. If it is in a remote location you may forget it is on. Tip: Tumble your cases with the primers in. Saves time in having to clean grit from primer hole. Tip: Ensure the top nut is securely tighten down. This helps minimizing sound. Do not over tighten.

Good overall. Sifter lid is a plus.
This is a nice, fairly compact tumbler, that seems to get the job done well. It is not too loud, does not โwalkโ at all as some other brands have been known to, and seems to handle a relatively large load of assorted pistol brass with ease in about two hours. I was a bit skeptical of the practical usefulness of the โbuilt in sifterโ lid, and was planning to purchase an additional media seporator, but after running about a dozen loads through it, I honestly donโt see the need (as long as you donโt mind holding the whole unit upside down while you shake... but itโs quite light). Thirty seconds or so of shaking over a five gallon bucket does the trick just fine. I also havenโt encoundered the issue of dust kicking up through the slots in the lid... at least with crush walnut and little NuFinish polish added (I canโt speak for corncob). The only reason I gave four stars, is because I did encounter the issue of most of the media collecting to one side, likely to an improperly balanced bowl, however, it doesnโt seem to effect the cleaning of the brass from what I can tell. Itโs just tad irritating.

I usually don't write reviews!
From some of the reviews I read I was expecting some fragile noisy piece of plastic. This sifter is so quiet that from 15 ft away it sounds like a fan blowing. I can sit next to it and not be bothered with the sound. It walked a bit when I first tested it but that was with a small load of casings and media. After I loaded the recommended amount and threw in a couple hundred casings it sat in one place for over an hour. The shells all came out shining. I used a mix of brown rice and white rice along with 2 pounds of crushed walnuts (thanks Petco). I bought 7 pounds of crushed walnuts for about $12. Worked perfectly

Great value, low hassle
Works great with Lyman Tough walnut media. Little loud, fine in the shop. Cover mounted on screw rod with rubber washer, little slow to work on/off without any โwing-nutโ style extrusions.

awesome purchase!
very happy with this tumbler. right out of the box, this unit was ready to go. went and grabbed a bad of lizard bedding from the local pet store (crushed walnut shell), tossed my 400-500 9mm brass and plugged her in! I let it run for about an hour and a half, casings look awesome! tumbled a total of 700 9mm and .223/5.56 casings in 3 hours. i put another 200 .40 cal casings before starting this review. the bowl on the unit is pretty big, perfect for what I need it for. noise level on this unit isn't too bad but I didn't expect it to be quiet. unit will not walk when turned on either. no complaints, awesome tumbler.

Ehh
Pros: Works well and have had no issues. Cons: No switch... this is a complete PITA. You plug it in and it's on. This is not a cheaper tumbler and a 20 cent switch should be standard. I should have to go to Home Deport, buy a switch, and install it myself. It's such a simple feature it's annoying that there isn't one. Also, somehow my lid got stuck on the stem in the middle and the lid broke while trying to get it off. Still runs like a champ, but now I have a broken sifter lid. Works well, but for the money, it could be a little better. Also, be sure to use this outside only. The vented lid just lets all the lead powder float around to be inhaled at will. I run a fan directly over the top of mine pointing out the garage door when it's on.

Good quality for the price.
Only used it once so far and works very well. It should come with a solid cover to keep lead contaminated dust in the bowl. I covered the strainer cut outs with plexiglass.

Great tumbler
Good price and works great. Surprised how quiet this one is. Using with the Frankford Arsenal Corn Cob Media Box, 7-Pound - from Amazon. As per some reloading forums added a few drops of Nufinish car polish and brass comes out amazing. Never an issue with Lyman products....so would highly recommend.
