I've only tested them for a day or two now...but so far they seem like they'll perform just as well as the Canon OEM battery (assuming that both of the batteries in this kit are consistent with each other...I've only had time to test one of the batteries so far). The price is great for the pair of them and the microfiber cleaning cloth comes in its own pouch, which is a nice bonus. The LCD screen protectors however, are mostly useless. I found them extremely annoying to cut to size and then apply...after fiddling with the application for about 15 minutes trying to get the bubbles out, I just got frustrated and gave up. There were three screen protectors in the kit, so I may give it another shot sometime when I have a little more patience. On a personal side note, I actually got my first "real" camera from ButterflyPhoto about 7 or 8 years ago...it was neat coming across them again here on desertcart. Review: Batteries are Great, but the SX50 is a Power Hog - I've been using these batteries for the past three years, first in my Canon SX40, and now my SX50. They cost about a fifth of the original "Canon" replacement/extra batteries. And they used to last about a third longer than Canon's "own" battery. That said, in the past I could get about three times as many photos out of one of these batteries as I can now. These are going dead after about 225 high resolution photos. That's not really the fault of the battery: the Canon SX50 uses at least twice as much power for the processor, info, and zoom as the SX40. I'm not unhappy with these batteries. It means carrying two extra with me rather than one. The last frontier is batteries! Ask Tesla.
