Basics Felt + Rubber

Love these rug pads! We now have 8 of these pads for all the area rugs we have. They help the rugs feel more plush and they keep the rugs in place with the rubberized backing. There is no odor to them, they grip the rug with their non-rubber side and they are very sturdy! I won't have another area rug without using one of these pads!

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. The grippy side is latex and barely smelled. Smelled kind of sweet and natural if you can imagine that. It did not need to offgas. It was super easy to unroll and it laid flat immediately. The grip works super well! I was worried it would be too thin but it is just right! My new rug is super cushy with this rug pad underneath. The price was fantastic too. I am glad I dug a wile to find this company because I’m super happy. I’ll be using them for all rug pads in the future for sure. I don’t write glowing reviews like this unless I mean it. The only thing is that I foresee the rug shifting on the pad itself. I don’t really know how you can avoid this but I thought I’d mention it. I have heavy furniture on a few parts of the rug and pad so it hasn’t slipped. But during rig placement it was super easy to slide the rug on the pad, which made alignment Easy! But you may have to shift the rug back onto the pad once in a while. The only way to avoid that is to use that grippy shelf liner rubber between the rug and pad, but that stuff can break down and permanently stick to surfaces, but maybe that’s not a big deal for a rug pad and back of a rug? Anyway....this is a great pad. You’ll be happy. The end.

Perfect for what I was looking for. I have a thin wool felt area rug 5’5” x 8’5” under which I have been using the plain rubber mesh pads for years. But they dry rot pretty quickly and cause a mess, and as they dry out, they lose their grip on the hardwood floor. This pad was exactly what I needed. I bought the 1/8” because my rug is thin and not very heavy. The rubber side grips the floor and the felt side holds the rug and gives this thin rug a softer feel under foot. Because my rug doesn‘t have any heavy furniture on it and is quite light-weight, using the rubber-mesh-type pads, even when new, didn’t keep the rug in place all that well. This new pad holds it like glue - no more shifting and sliding. Since my rug isn’t a standard size, I had to cut a couple of inches off the sides of this new pad which was very easy with a measuring tape and pair of sharp scissors. No worries. The quality is great, the price was right, the delivery was quick, the pad was well packaged and easy to roll out. Absolutely no complaints here!

This works perfect under my desk chair and balouch rug. I was using a Epica super grip pad previously but once that got a little dust on it there was no traction and it left diamond print scuff on any surface I used it on. So far this lays perfectly and just enough cushion to keep my chair from rolling all over the place. Doesn't really have much of an odor, good quality and shipped fast. It sticks well to the floor without leaving any marks but my rug kind of moves around a lot and I have to straighten it once a week or so.

I am so impressed so far. I received two pads, same size for two different areas in my house - dining and living room. I purchased the 3/4 inch and these things were heavy! I am a perfectionist so moving the pad into place was interesting. The rubber traction on the bottom works so well it was hard for me to "budge" it over an inch or two. The grip is awesome - exactly what I was looking for and the softness it provides, especially under the living room rug where my kids play on the carpet, is perfect. Almost bouncy but exactly what I was wanting. My rugs are from Crate and Barrel but the cost of their pads was almost double. Great value with great reviews. Also, very easy to trim to size with a good sharp pair of scissors.

I've always wanted a ruggable rug for my living room but had a hard time with the price point. Their rug pads are so expensive! So I've been looking for an alternative to make the ruggable a little cheaper and I finally decided on this one. It is perfect! The rubber backing is perfect to keep the underpad from slipping around on the floor and the top layer is very rough, almost velcro-like. It attaches to the ruggable perfectly and keeps it tightly in place! Even with running toddlers and high traffic it doesn't move an inch. I got the 5x7 rug pad and the 5x7 ruggable and I had to trim the rug pad down less than an inch on the long and short side to get it to fit. If you are debating using this for a ruggable, get it! I promise you won't regret it.

Nice traction, thick. Made the rug comfortable to step on. Only issue was a faint weird smell but not noticeable once placed under the rug

It gives some cushion and doesn’t slip. It smelled a little stinky upon opening the shipping bag but it aired out quickly. Easy to place and lays flat nearly immediately. It’s a tad longer than the 10’ I needed but it’s trimmable so it’s perfect. I got it to put under a washable rug. I’d purchase again.

Great rug pad, better than other brands I've tried. Both the felt and rubber are top quality and provide superior grip on my wooden floors. Thank you for the prompt despatch. Very happy.

The pad made a huge difference in comfort! We had a thin rug on our hardwood with a thin rubber rug pad. This pad makes the rug feel much more substantial and has held up well with our dog running over it.

Get wonderful feedback on my cheap rug that I have at how soft it is, then I tell people it’s the padding. We have very slick wood floors and the rug (8x10) does not budge under the dog or toddlers running around.

Worth the $

I ordered 2 of these carpet pads, they arrived in 2 different boxes. One pad was what I ordered, the other did not have the rubber padding on the bottom. Both have same part # On labels however obviously one is defective or the wrong item altogether. I’m disappointed as I now need to figure how to get this large package returned which I cannot fit in my car.
