Review: Soft Head, Hard Body, Lots of fun - This cute mermaid Ken comes exactly as pictured! A bit pricey at $25 compared to the Mermaid Barbies which are half the price. However, this was bought as a birthday gift and has been lots of fun since. The tail fin comes detached and takes a quick snap in, but once in it does not come out! Ken’s head is soft while his body is hard plastic. The hair is also plastic so no combing or fancy hairstyles to do. Overall it feels like a great quality toy that should last a long time.
Review: Perfect beach toy - Arrived on time!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Merman Ken is a wonderful thing
*by 8***Y on September 14, 2025*

The doll’s coloring is excellent; vibrant and beautiful. Also a bonus: perfect redhead colors! I used this doll for a merman cake my 3 year old niece and I made for her daddy, and I found it really easy to match other mermaid cake decorations with the colors of the tail, which was a major bonus. Ken was so sturdy in a seated position, I didn’t have to use anything to keep him upright in the cake. For reference: the top tier of my cake is 6.5” and the bottom tier is 9.6” I wish Ken’s arms were bendable, but I don’t think it takes away from the playability, just a personal preference. My blue collar, motorcycling-riding brother-in-law has now been introduced to the masculine humility that comes with being a girl dad, and my niece now has a new tubby toy. Everyone is happy, so that should be good enough to purchase your own.
