**Q: What transistor is being used for this circuit? There are no markings on it and wish to look up its data sheet, thanks.**
A: You can use TRFZ44N or IRFZ44N. It would probably work with similar spec transistor.

**Q: Can it be used to supply a constant voltage? Can the output be regulated, I.e down to 12kv?**
A: You could try a variable voltage to the primary winding and regulate the secondary from there but it's a pulse transformer    it may overheat if you run it in constant duty mode
