I can use my phone with my toasty fingers!
Sewed this product into my index and thumb pads of my glove so that I can continue using my phone outside if needed without losing my fingers to frostbite. It can't just be sewed in any spot. It needs to be sewed so that the string will come in contact with your skin underneath as well for it to work. Its conductive after all! The product works!

Anyone for touch mittens?
When I hike in the winter, my hands often get too cold to wear gloves. It is also too cold to take them off at the summit when I want to take a few pictures. I used the Adafruit Stainless Thin Conductive Thread to sew 2 patches on to my mittens - one on the thumb and one on the backside of the mitten that allow me enough dexterity to open the camera and take a picture on my phone. (I only used the backside of the mittens as it was cloth and the underside was leather. When I point my finger inside the mitten, the backside works fine!) Just a handfull of stitches in both spots did the trick. Great product for adding touch functionality to mittens and gloves that don't have it!

I was skeptical
I was skeptical that this would work for my motorcycle glove, but I was wrong. It works well, and now my gloves will work with my cell phone

will not make your gloves work on touchscreens
I bought this because I'd read that I could sew it onto the fingertips of gloves making the gloves usable with iPhones etc. This was not the case. It didn't work at all and I sewed plenty on. The thread feels like fabric. I used it instead to mend gray items and it behaved just like a nice quality thick thread, not metal.

Use this thread! :)
I work in a warehouse, so naturally I need to wear PPE (including gloves). Unfortunately, I can’t really use the scanner very well with them and I waste time taking them on and off to touch a few items on a touchscreen. So I saw something on Pinterest where you could sew conductive thread into gloves to make DIY touchscreen gloves. I saw this thread and like it because it’s easy to work with, use any standard embroidery/cross-stitch needle (somewhere between regular thread and embroidery floss in thickness) and one spool is really all you need for, say, 2-3 pairs of gloves. Hmmm, I have some black satin gloves that need to join the 21st century...

Does what is says…
This was exactly what I needed for some much loved, expensive leather motorcycle gloves. They were supposed to be touch compatible, but they works so infrequently that they were a distraction. This thread SOLVED that! A few stitches in the index finger and thumb and they work perfectly. Easy to work with and super cheap for how many gloves you could do with one bobbin worth of thread. So happy I found it (thanks to a recommendation on a motorcycle forum)

Does not help gloves
Sewed it into my gloves using all the tips people provided here and it doesn't help at all with using a touch screen. Waste of time and money if that's what you're buying this thread for.

Works as you would expect. Conductive, easy to sew by hand with. Used it to make my gloves touchscreen compatible on forefinger and thumb. Fast shipping from utronix

Very satisfied with the product works perfectly fine. It does not miss the touch even a single time, better then expected but obviously Nothing match the level of your own finger but yeah sewing it could be a little tricky because the threads works best only if your finger is touhing the other side of the thread so if it not working check if it is touching your finger from one side but otherwise nice product

And it's very easy to stitch it into my cotton grounding sheet which had lost it's power.
