A quality tool
This is a quality tool. It feels sturdy and well made. The axe head is a bit heavier than most but the tool is well balanced and chops well. It is very sharp and his ideal for chopping firewood. I would definitely recommend it.

love it for the price, very happy
1. nice weight and balance, 2. sturdy construction with a nice shape to the handle, 3. axe head very professionally attached to the handle, 4. solid metal head, 5. nice hardwood handle. 6. with a fair bit of grinding and repurposing the head this axe could be used as a weapon rather than just wood chopper. 7. small enough to pack for wild camping but big enough to be useful. bad= 1. pathetic shape to the sharp edge needs totally redoing with a better grind, 2. needs some lindseed oil on the handle, 3. sheath is useless, fell apart before even using it which was expected at this price range. All in all very happy, love it for the price.

A good looking hatchet
This hatchet looks great and the blade is very sharp. Good cutting edge, nice haft form (handle). The head cover was awful so I bought a leather blade cover which looks great. I also got rid of the advertising on the side of the haft which made it look cheap. I added a lanyard hole at the foot of the haft with an added leather lanyard. I would say for the price this is a nice hatchet with nice form and nice weight but it comes with a few flaws which are easy to remedy.

Its got a nice handle and the steel is good quality, does come a bit blunt and the cover is bad - but the axe is good for the price

A Classic Hatchet and a Very Reliable brand
A solid Hatchet and traditional. Roughneck tools are always very good and I’m an engineer in heavy industries so I tend to give them a hard life. Will stand up to a lot of hard work and still keep its edge. Highly recommended and No criticism’s whatsoever. Well Worth Buying

Handle has a weird grip
Nifty little axe and I liked the fact it had a protective sleeve for storage. Although I do feel the sleeve is a bit redundant as the blade is so blunt you couldn't use it to chop a block of cheese! However, once it has been properly sharpened, it's a good little axe. It truly brings out the little viking in you and you start eyeing up your decking, your fences, the shed etc and start viewing them as figures of 'x amount of chops and that'd be down!'. Finishing points, 1. Get it sharpened before you use it. 2. The handle texture is weird. It looks like wood but it's not. It's like a weird mix of plastic and silicone which, for me at least, makes it uncomfortable for me get a firm, tight grip on it. I have to put rubber bands around it before I use it. No big deal but something to be aware of of you have issues with gripping different textures.
