Best shade seed I’ve used
This has been the BEST grass seed I have tried. I live in zone 8b and shouldn’t even be able to grow fescue but needed a good shade grass. Zenith Zoysia did not work. Bermuda wouldn’t work so I gave this a try. Germinated in 7 days and go to cut height in 3.5 weeks. Watered 3 times a day for 12 minutes at a time. Great value for the cost.

It took a number of extra good rainfall even after I watered it as instructed

Slow Germination
Slow to get going, germination seems to take a long time. I followed all the instructions, but it's been 10 days and all I see is a few things patches of very fine grass. Im not holding out much hope for a green lawn. Im going to buy a different kind of seed and see if I can fill it out.

Fast germination
Seed geminated quickly and looks good. They state grass will handle the Florida heat, it's winter so jury is out on that. Good is it is surviving in the sand (Florida calls it soil). So far so good

Scott’s is less than mid
I would think twice before putting this seed down. In 2012, Scotts Miracle-Gro was fined a record $12.5 million by the EPA for intentionally coating its Morning Song wild bird feed with toxic insecticides. The company added unapproved chemicals to prevent insects from eating the seed while in storage, resulting in the widespread poisoning and killing of wild birds. This isn’t the 1st or last time Scott’s has faced controversy, it’s just 1 of the shortest examples. Are you’re going to dispense this Scott’s grass seed product near your home? Are you going to put it where your children and pets play? I wouldn’t. The US government recently made it easier for companies like Scott’s to avoid accountability and avoid publishing possible links to cancer among other dangers. That was after Scott’s alleged “pledge of over a million dollars” to Trump. Do you really think Scott’s is going to clean up their act? Or did they just get a pass to continue poisoning civilians and wildlife? Just asking questions…

Good stuff
Pretty successful overall. Not in the spots where my dirt wasn’t tilled and properly prepared. But it will grow if it’s on good soil
