Typical "roll" or Magnesium -- lights/burns as expected. No surprises-- lab or "expermental" quality (be super careful, don't try to ignite is outside of a controlled environment). But if you're looking for 'mag' strips-- this does the job.

Quality magnesium ribbon. Works great as an emergency fire starter or initiator.

Good price and product. I use a standard propane torch like you find in the plumbing isle at the hardware store. Lights right up, so bright you need to look away, or use welding goggles or a welding helmet. Haven't used it for a project yet, so I will update later.

Inexpensive magnesium ribbon. Magnesium ribbon usually has oxidation/corrosion on the outside and needs to be sanded before use. It may not burn well or it may have contaminants if you don't clean it first. This magnesium seemed to have an excessive amounts of oxidation, more than other magnesium strips I have used before, so it required extra time and effort to clean.

Good price , each roll is small, but will work for my purpose.

What can I say? This is magnesium ribbon. If, like me, you went to school at a time when chemistry teachers piqued student interest by setting fire to things and blowing things up (rather than showing simulations on a screen) you might have been impressed, as I was, with a demonstration of burning magnesium ribbon. If you want magnesium ribbon to recreate, for educational reasons, those demonstrations, or just because you need some metallic magnesium of reasonable purity in ribbon form (perhaps for machining very tiny magnesium wheels or fasteners) then here's the stuff. Plenty of it, for a reasonable price.

Burns well and produces hydrogen when put in vinegar...SCIENCE!
